The Narrator and Your Writing pays attention to what is on the page, not what is in your head. It sees what a stranger standing in the scene could see: your character’s actions, their emotion, their choices. Show it something real and the world responds. That is the whole contract.
Write what can be seen
A character who is a feared enforcer becomes one by writing scenes that are actually menacing, not by declaring menace in a profile. The Narrator will not invent a job you did not play or a past you did not write. Put it on the page, in the moment, and the world notices.
Commit to a feeling
Flat, affectless posts land flat. Writing that commits to a register, dread, triumph, tenderness, quiet fury, carries weight. You do not have to be melodramatic. You have to mean it.
Give the scene a beat
Every strong post is doing one clear thing: a fight, a deal, a confession, a plea for help. A quiet conversation counts. It is a nudge toward intention, because a post with a clear purpose carries further than one that mills around.
Who you write with matters
The scenes that move your story hardest are the ones with another person in them. Writing directed at someone, naming them, building something together, is the collaborative storytelling this place was made for. A brilliant solo moment has its place, but connection is what the world rewards most.
None of this is a formula to chase. It is what good roleplay already looks like: visible, felt, intentional, and shared. Write that way and the world writes you back.
