What It Means to Wear the Badge

HPD officers walk a thin line between chaos and control. Some believe in justice. Most believe in getting the job done. You are the wall between the streets and the flood of violence, vice, and unchecked ambition. How you enforce that line is up to you.

Control, Not Cleanliness: You are here to manage crime, not erase it. Every arrest, bribe, or missed shot is part of the story.
Corruption is Built-In: Bribes, cover-ups, and fake reports are not bugs. They are features. Just make sure you keep it interesting.
Your Actions Matter: The more you engage, the more the city responds. Interrogations, shootouts, and takeovers often begin with your decisions.

Tools of the Role: Field HUD

Officers are issued a custom Field HUD designed for immersive roleplay inside a living crime system. This is not a prop. It is the backbone of your day-to-day operations and a key to shaping the city’s criminal records.

Citations: Issue warnings or penalties that stick with players over time.
APBs and Warrants: Tag suspects and build active investigations.
Rap Sheets: Log arrests, repeat offenses, and build long-term consequences for characters.
Jail Management: Enforce realistic jail times and sentence tracking through the HUD.
Radio System: Communicate in real-time with other officers. Receive dispatcher support through a lifelike NPC AI assistant that provides lookups and alerts.

Drive the Streets

HPD officers have access to a fleet of detailed, street-ready squad cars. These vehicles require a paid permit and are available in limited quantities to maintain realism on the streets. Driving a cruiser through Hathian is not just for show. It gives you presence, authority, and a way to chase, patrol, or intimidate.

Paid Vehicle Permits: Squad cars require a permit, available in-world through city services.
Street Presence: Driving a marked unit adds visual impact to your scenes and invites criminal interaction.

Jail Is a Story, Not a Sentence

Booking someone is not the end of their roleplay. It is a new chapter. Jail scenes are encouraged and supported with tools and opportunities for long-term story arcs.

HUD-Managed Jail Time: Sentences are tracked and enforced. No guesswork required.
Roleplay Inside: Encourage interactions with inmates, lawyers, visitors, and rivals.
Controlled Chaos: Breakouts, confrontations, smuggling, and bribes are all possible. Just be ready for the consequences.

Recruitment and Expectations

The HPD is open to players who bring presence, creativity, and a love for gritty, grounded law enforcement roleplay. You will receive access to a full internal guide and mentorship from current brass. The Field HUD, uniform, and vehicle permit unlock after acceptance.

To apply: Visit the HPD station in-world and use the terminal, or speak to a ranking officer in character. Include a character backstory that fits the city’s tone and your reasons for joining the force — corruption welcome.
