What carries over
Your chapter count continues uninterrupted, the unbroken length of your story here. The titles you earned stay on your record, and your highest one is worn as a Legacy Title, a mark of how long you have been part of this. Nothing you did is erased. It is read.
How the world reads you now
Where the old system counted, the new one interprets. It reads your entire history, the themes you returned to, the scenes you wrote, the people you wrote them with, and it names the pathway that fits the character you already are. You do not start over. You start where your story already put you.
If the world reads you wrong
Characters change, and the path the world assigns is not a cage. If it named you something you no longer want to be, the Lock Path option on your Character Card lets you set the pathway and title you are working toward instead, telling the world and the community which way you are headed.
The gap, and how it closes
Your dashboard may say Catch Up. That is not a penalty. It is the short distance between where the old ladder left you and the first rung of your new path, and the world closes it quickly, so you are earning toward your next title again without losing your momentum.
The old system was a ladder. This one is a branching tree, built to hold the complexity you have always written. Your past is what gives it roots.
