BACKGROUND: BACKGROUND: "Anyone can be a whore. but it takes determination to be a Harlot" A bunch of whores, streetwalkers and back alley cutthroats banding together with a common purpose of controlling the Red Light District day-to-day sex trade. From all walks of life, all kinds of personalities, they seek protection through unity. No ties to outside organizations, money flows or drug cartels, there's only the concern of protecting the here and now business. IC Codex: "Thugs in the streets, goddess in the sheets" 1. Carry a weapon and know how to use it 2. You work for us, no-one else 3. If you don't earn, you're out 4. Bitches get riches, but snitches get stitches 5. We are family, everyone else is just a john.

UNIQUE: While the Harlots are essentially sex workers working the streets of Red Light District, and the group heaving a stromg sexual theme, its primary a gang. The emphasis will be on Roleplay, not ERP., which is more of a background and side activity. We are looking to be much than merely a group of IC whores, and will seek to be centered around creating lasting storylines between the members. With day-to-day RP oppotunities within the group, as well as individual, but also collaborative events with other groups and businesses, we aim to create gang of active IC Whores/Thugs that seek to dominate the Red Light District sex trade, and offer protection to its members. Day-to-day roleplay: The focus of the day-to-day RP in the gang, is the dramatic lives of whores lived in-between sexual encounters. This includes activities such as Tracking down and making examples of people mistreating harlots, protecting girls, discussing how to further increase revenue from johns, getting arrested for solicitation, socializing at the hangman's pass cafe, and in general just reactive roleplays on whatever interactions occur with the rest of the sim. Inclusivity & Initiation: The gang is open for everyone, but there will be an initiation period, where players will be judged on their ability and willingness to roleplay with other members of the gang to form storylines outside of ERP. There may be other secondary criteria based on the actual roleplay scenarios in which the player approaches existing members. In addition, there will be other roles than merely sex workers, such as enforcers, pimps, advertisers, and associates. The only real ooc rules we have, is we want realistic human avatars. (No anime/uwu heads, no hentai characters, and no absurd unrealistic body proportions. I.e, if you have double E breast size, you better be on crack 24/7 for backpain :p )

In addition, here's our OOC Goals: 1. Making the Hooker role more than just having IC sex, and thus making it fun and sustainable long term. 2. Re-populating Red Light District with sustainable roleplay beyond individual ERP scenes. 3. Co-operating with RLD based businesses to create increased traffic for them. The gang doesn't per se need a location to work out of, as it will be mobile business on two legs, using alleyways and renting rooms at the Twister to do their business. That doesn't equal that there may not be future benefits in operating out of a business, but it is not a requirement for the gang to function.

EXPERIENCE: I Carly Cox (Calanthral Falodir) am a long time roleplayer, and member of the CD community. I have extensive experience within the CD universe, as well as other roleplay sims dating back to 2007. I normally don't run factions/businesses from a self-gratification standpoint, but see the leaderships role primary function as a facilitator of roleplay for others. I am very creative when it comes to ideas for storylines and events, as well as in the moment RP.

IDEAS: A lot of the ideas we have (I and the people I have talked to, as more brains are better than one) are already explained above, and I'm always willing to listen to new and fresh inputs of others. The main idea here, is to create a sexual themed faction, that OOC'ly attempts to focus on everything outside or in-between players individual sexual themed scenes. We wish to draw more quality RP to the Red Light District in Hathian, to benefit the entire sim population, and not just ourselves. This gang will be terrible for those who log in only to ERP sex, and then log off when the deed is done, the aim is to simulate the lifestyle and struggles of a sex worker, it makes for engaging RP. While RP in CD is SNAFU (Situation Normal - All Fucked Up), we will attempt to play the faction and the roles as authentic to an actual sex workers as authentic possible. This means RP decisions will often be based on economic imparatives. I.e. it is more cost efficient to supply HPD with free pussy and blowjobs, than it is spending three days in jail where a harlot cannot earn money turning tricks at all. We do see taking over The Jackals old gang safe, if still available.

UNIQUE: They sell themselves, and while every member won't nescessarily be a whore, they will all work towards earning off of those they have.

FLAW: They completely rely on daily traffic to bourbon street, if there's none, they don't earn. Unlike other gangs, they cannot just rob people, as they need to be on jovial terms with a lot of individuals, groups and businesses.

POTENTIAL ENEMY: Everyone. This entire gang relies on interaction with others, and cannot be self sustainable solely on in-group interaction. That is aprt of the beauty of the gang.
