The Gun Ban is a known entity for those of us that have been playing in CD for quite a while. However, for our new players, it's not mentioned anywhere except one tiny line on the wiki about weapons.

I've also notice a LOT of people zipping around CD in rezzed vehicles without being in the vehicle permit group. And it really isn't made all that clear in the welcome guide how you require a permit. So I took a copy of the welcome guide given upon entry of the sim, copied and pasted from there and the Wiki and put together a clear and comprehensive Welcome guide (with the approval of Nadir) and now I submit it here for review.

INTRODUCTION

Welcome to the city of Hathian, more commonly known as the Crack Den (CD). You will find residents from across the world, role-playing in this massive modern-day urbanscape of corruption, violence and desolation. Its city population shares a common purpose... urban survival in a crime-ridden, post-Hurricane Katrina town near New Orleans, off the coast of Louisiana.

This sim is dedicated to mature, realistic and graphic urban role-play (RP). You can participate or witness a wide variety of themes such as gang violence, drug trafficking, prostitution, police brutality, fire rescue, medical to simple daily life. The genre of RP here can be very dark, violent, and sexually-oriented.

➊ NO GUNS
Guns are banned sim-wide. Only the HPD is allowed to so much as wear them and
even they are restricted from drawing them. The only weapons allowed in sim are
hand-held melee weapons which may ONLY be used by anyone who has been
accepted into an official CD group.

➋ NO VEHICLES
If you have to rez it to drive/ride it, you need a permit.

➌ NO AGEPLAY
All characters under the age of 18 are considered a minor in the sim. These
characters are prohibited from engaging in any form of sexually-oriented roleplay in
any of the 6 Crack Den sims (Hathian, Vodou, Devil's Pocket, Black Bottom,
Fishtown, District 8). If your role-play character represents a minor, please apply for
a "§ Elementary Kid" or "§ High Student" role in the "Seaside School Roleplay”
group. You must wear this tag at all times during role-play.

➍ KEEP OOC TO A MINIMUM
The sim is here as an immersive roleplay setting. Please respect that and keep your
OOC (Out of Character) conversations out of local and in IMs. Though some OOC is
necessary to let others know about RL stuff, please try not to carry on whole
conversations anywhere but in IMs.

If you just teleported into CD and received this note, then you are standing in the out-of-character (OOC) floor. This is considered the “safe” area where role-play is not conducted.

★ VISITORS MUST WEAR TITLER

★ RESPECT OUR ROLE-PLAY ENVIRONMENT
Visiting and role-playing in the Crack Den (CD) is a privilege – not a right. You are
on a private sim, owned by Nadir Taov and BeBe Pink. Failure to follow rules &
guides may result in immediate ejection or banishment by admins.

★ MATURE CONDUCT EXPECTED
Hathian is a designated “mature” rated sim, where mature themes are presented
and maturity expected from its players. Due to the possible sexual and violent
nature of role-play, by teleporting here, your real-life age is expected to be of
18+ yrs.

★ WEAPONS/COMBAT PROHIBITED TO “CD TOURISTS” & NON-CD MEMBERS
Simply joining the "Crack Den Roleplay" group DOES NOT allow you to use any
kind of weapon against anyone.

★ UNOFFICIAL "CD" TITLE/ROLES PROHIBITED
You may not make your own gang or group without admin approval and wear a
title which has "CD" preceding it. You can ONLY wear a "CD" title that you have
applied for and received invite to by an admin, approved gang or RP manager in the
Crack Den. If you want to create your own group you need to apply for it here:

★ SHOUTING OR USE OF GESTURES / SOUNDS PROHIBITED
These are distracting and annoying to the other players in the sim that are trying
to roleplay a particular scenario.

★ GRIEFING AND PARTICLE EFFECTS WILL GET YOU BANNED!!
No exception.
