Alexandra MelunesaidPlease give your feedback and suggestions for this business proposal (in a constructive manner!) for this proposer to review, respond to, and take into account should they go forward as the Lead! For more information on how proposals work: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/group-and-business-proposals/ Comiquities TYPE: SLURL: BACKGROUND: Comiquities has been a bit under utilized in the past, catering to only two specific crowds. Nerds and Youths. However, recently the store has been empty of even those. Tori sees this as an opportunity, as does her player. So there will be several layers to the intention for how to use this business. The first step will be to make the place active again, trying to draw in numbers by promoting the business through family friendly events and block parties, hopefully with collaboration with other businesses. Most in Hathian love an excuse to dress up and there are plenty of closet geeks and nerds. Other business can be involved by providing themed goods or catering the events. Services that they might be paid for… for coerced into providing. Step two, find the right manager to work as the front for the business. Tori’s rep isn’t exactly good in Hathian. Most might not trust a business she owns and others might just avoid Tori altogether. So she will seek out a manager with a more lovable face and disposition, making Comiquities easier to approach and to help Tori with the day to day. I already have a person or two in mind. This will keep people from needing to worry about getting involved shop and hopefully promote more RP between Comiquities and more reputable players/businesses on sim. Step three, make the place a hub for Youths again. There aren’t many places on sim for Youth players to congregate, and so businesses like a comic book shop should keep them in mind and have some PG events. So Youth will be encouraged to come around and also pick up jobs at the shop for pay and discounts or other incentives that would appeal to a youthful crowd. This also leaves Comiquities able to collab with Seaside or even the CU Campus. Step four, add in a shady side to the business. While family friendly will be the front, there will also be criminal activity under the surface. This is one thing that Comiquities has always lacked, at least while I’ve been playing in CD. There is a missed opportunity to work with some of the local gangs and criminal individuals to peddle their goods through a venue that the HPD, who are likely to be watching these groups or individuals, might never think to look into. Step five, corrupt those Youth players who are amendable to getting involved in criminal rps, whether ic knowingly or not. Kids are impressionable, and might be more willing to act as mules or runners for some of the local gangs. Players who are interested in this, but want to keep their Youths innocent, can be given rps that lead them into crimes, but icly won’t know they are even participating in it. Tori plans to win over some of these impressionable minds and, depending on how much they would like to be involved, use them for some of her own personal 'games’ and also loan them out to gangs who need unassuming workers to go under police radar. The plan for Comiquities is to allow for a good mix of criminal rp and legit business rp. This way the business can find more active rps to cater to more players on sim. One dimensional businesses that lean toward pure adult rp or pure vanilla rp, often get avoided by the other half. I would like to open Comiquities up more to fit into the theme of the sim, while not neglecting those who shy away from darker rp. UNIQUE: Comiquities will offer a venue to dark rp and legit business rp. Given the theme of the business, it is one that can be used for so many possibilities. This will keep the business active and have events that appeal to all types of players. EXPERIENCE:As a player, I have been on sim for years and have run or helped to event plan for CD businesses before. Tori used to own and run Hathian Motors for years when I first joined CD and since then, my alts have worked for and helped manage other businesses that catered to those characters specific rps. I have also run two gangs in CD, the current one being the Yuugen. I’m no stranger to keeping a place active and coming up with fun ideas and events to draw in rp and promote interactions. I love promoting ongoing stories and rp, and I feel I could do a lot with Comiquities. IDEAS:I have always tried to do rp job interviews with new workers and use events to attract more people to come in for jobs at the store or just to interact with employees for goods and services. I also plan to have some employees dress up and go out to sign twirl and had out flyers to offer discounts at the store. It's for businesses purposes of course, and not to embarrass employees with goofy super hero costumes... seriously. It’s purely for business purposes... OTHER:I was thinking about doing a BBQ and themed scavenger hunt around Hathian. There will be two sides to it, the family friendly side where people can go around the city and find themed harmless items around sim and in other businesses. The dark side, however, will be either done at the same time as the opening event or a second planned event of having people also doing a scavenger hunt, but retrieving the item might need a little creative ‘super hero ‘thinking to get them away from the dastardly hands of their foes. |
