Asylum Arcade

BACKGROUND: As a leader for Asylum Arcade, I would like to have events that are game-themed and possibly hold Dungeons and Dragons nights and Magic: the Gathering game nights. I feel as though my character would fit the role of manager as she is very nerdy and openly excited about games. While role-playing at the arcade my character has managed to get customers to spend a lot of time there and I feel as a manager of the place I could definitely make the arcade a hot spot to hang out for the nerves of the community. I would also love to add some arcade machines that actually worked so that people would not only role-play but have a place to experience old arcade games as I know that there are a few sold on Second Life I definitely feel as though I could add to the community as a manager as I really am passionate about gaming and I'm in love with arcades and have been since a child so I can put that excitement into the role play and create a cool environment for fellow nerds while also creating some chaos.

UNIQUE: I feel as though I can make the business stand out for others not only because it is an arcade and people can come here to just relax and spend time playing games but also it would be nice to have the chance to have the arcade be a hotspot for once instead of it being a quiet place that no one really ever thinks about. I definitely feel as though I can do this as I have much experience role-playing as a store owner/manager before at other roleplay sims.

EXPERIENCE:My past experiences as a leader are; Owner of a record store Admin for many communities off and on Secondlife My qualities are; Strategic Vision: Developed and executed strategic plans aligning with organisational goals. Decision-Making: Demonstrated a strong ability to make informed decisions under pressure, resulting in successful outcomes. Utilized analytical skills to assess situations, identify alternatives, and implement effective solutions. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Fostered open communication channels within teams, enhancing overall efficiency and understanding. Adaptability: Successfully navigated through change and ambiguity, adapting strategies for optimal results. Embraced innovation, leading teams to implement new technologies and methodologies.

IDEAS:For new players on the sim and for people who want to sign up to be an employee at the arcade I would offer a lot of friendly in character advice on how to work such as showing them how the cash register works and training them to deal with other customers. I would also love to conduct interviews for people wanting to be a part of the business. Having it as a formal interview would entice role players more as it is realistic and a fun experience.

OTHER:For the grand reopening if approved, I would throw a gaming-themed event where people would come dressed up as their favourite characters from games. I would get a permit to close off the road at the side of the arcade and have a street party while also having people in and out of the arcade able to use the machines as and when they wanted.
