Jin Kohime came to this town nothing more than a weak, skinny runaway. He had to get away from his abusive father and with some luck he did so. Only to wind up homeless on the streets until a girl named Sunhi had the compassion to help him start a new life. It was a shame that not everyone thought that new life was good enough...Before long they both became intangled in a war against the widely known and feared Rejects. While it was true that Jin never considered himself a fighter, he wanted to make Sun happy more than anything. So he was quick to be on her side and join her cause. All the meanwhile he grew close to his would be adopted parents, Doctor Hiro Kohime and Shadoe Kohime as well as Jasmine Slade and Doctor Amat at the hospital. Jasmine had saved his life on a few occasions, causing the young teenage Jin to momentarily confuse her for an angel and even for the longest time he still wanted to believe she was. Doctor Amat opened his home to him and Sun when they needed time to lay low, while Jin was sheltered mainly by his adopted parents and even taught some lessons on manhood from Tony Gavilan, Sun's father.
Like all good things though, it had to come to an end. Just like he was born into this new life, it didn't take long for the rejects to kidnap this once full of heart teenage kid. He wanted so bad to make Sun proud that he foolishly tried to sacrifice himself to make them leave her alone...something she doesn't even fully know to this day, thinking he was kidnapped or fighting them. After months of torture and torment, the city gave up hope on looking for him, all except a handful including Sun. But when the charred remains of an asian boy that fit his description turned up on Sun's lawn, all hope was lost. Jin was surely dead. Meanwhile after nearly a year, a brainwashed man whom used to be Jin emerged from the shadows, having been responsible for killing the asian and convinced it was the real Jin he was killing...he stalked out onto the streets of hathian with a badly scarred face, battered and bruised, twisted to be whatever the rejects needed. He had the thought deep down inside that he maybe Jin, but no matter how many people tell him, he never can fully believe it.
Within a month of the man emerging under the alias of "The Worm", he raped nearly a dozen women, including the very innocent Mouse and Jin's girlfriend, Sunhi Gavilan. Quickly labeled a monster, the town quickly rejected the boy, thus making him realize what it fully means to be a reject. No one dares look him in the eye, yet a few want to save him. Quietly still, he stalks the streets...carrying drugs, stolen money and the pain he hides from a world that has tried to destroy him. What will he do next and will anyone ever be truly safe from him?
