[21:33] AmayaGrace seemed rather confused for a moment as to what the gentlemen would want to talk with her about, though she would nod softly his way. "Well then, you know where to find me when you need to speak with me. Until then, take good care of this young woman, as I am sure you will. Have a wonderful evening you two." Having completed her task she would leave the couple to bask in the glow of their happy news, heading over to Jason and grinning his way. "Nothing cheers me up more than delivering happy news". She of course wouldn't say anything more on the matter, and she knew Jason wouldn't ask her to elaborate either way. "Boy, it's been a long day. Thankfully my shift is just about over. Wanna go grab something to eat or something? My treat! What are friends for?" She would wait to hear his response before saying anything more.
[21:35] Jason Winters (crono.kingmaker) Jason looked up from his phone, turning it off and putting it back in his pocket before jumping up from leaning against the desk previously. "I'll argue with you about paying later, but let's go!" he grinned, and would start for the elevator so they could go.
[21:45] James Matfield would be downstairs waiting on the elevator too, but stops when it doesn’t come. OF course it was upstairs for Amaya and Jason, so he crosses his arms and taps his foot impatiently. The nurse asked him to meet him on the second floor and he had no intentions of doing much work on his day off, so street clothes it was. If he was lucky, Madison wouldn’t be here to try to shove work at him or make things awkward. If the two pass him, he would flash them a polite smile and step into the elevator past them.
[21:48] Iokko Molko would toss and turn in bed till she woke up, seething through her teeth as she slowly sat up with a groan. Placing a hand over her wound she could feel in her core how the pain was just waving through her body like electricity. Io would take a deep breath in and sigh looking around not seeing anyone around, so she'd just attempt to slowly lay back down with a plop of her head. "This sucks..." she muttered wondering how the hell she was going to work with this pain. Toying her mind for the idea of a vacation or some sort of couple days break until she was healed fully.
[21:51] James Matfield was making his way over to the bed, but don’t get all the way there when the nurse stops him and shoves him back, “What? I am not working today! Surely it’s something that can wait” and he sighs and takes the paper work she is showing him. He looks angry, “This isn’t fucking funny. Who put you up to this?” he snaps, the nurse looking a bit intimidated she swears it’s real which makes James turn white. He looks over at Iokko’s bed and just doesn’t believe it. “You sure?” Iokko probably could hear them muttering.
[21:53] Iokko Molko turned her head and fixed her glasses as she saw James over there and would put on a smile and wave to him but that smile would quickly fade seeing him angry. Perking a brow she could only wonder what was going on over there but would sigh, turning back to look up at the ceiling as if it calmed her or something. She really didn't know what to do but she was not going to interrupt that conversation just to ask for more pain medication to stop the agony that started to set in.
[21:57] James Matfield puts his glasses on to double check the nurses work, finally just shoving it at her and moving straight over to Iokko’s bed, skipping no introductions, “Where are you from?” he asks, looking down at her. No hi, no how are you either, it was that important to him. He studies her face too as he asks, trying to see any resemblance. If she was his sister, he wouldn’t recognize her after all this time. But his sister’s name wasn’t Iokko. “What’s your full name?”
[22:07] Iokko Molko sat up and would blink as she watched him move closer, "ummm California and umm... Iokko Molko... is something wrong?" She started to panic almost like when she had her amnesia back in California. "Whats wrong?" she would ask in a more freaked out tone trying to curl up into a ball then with the pillow but it just hurt too damned much.
[22:09] James Matfield “Are you sure? You are positive you are from California? You didn’t grow up in Kentucky or in foster care?” he asks, looking back at the nurse who seemed positive as to what she said. “Not sure anything is wrong…” he sighs, “Did you have a brother?” he asks, though he didn’t realize she had an adoptive brother.
[22:12] Iokko Molko shakes her head, "I... I don't know I had an accident when I was younger and um... I don't remember a lot before that so my parents just told me everything" she would sigh. "They said I was born in California... and I do have a brother..." she would nod then perking a brow. "His name is Kyle, and his pretentious ass is over living in the UK right now" she scoffed the total brown noser of the family and looked exactly like mom and dad while I was the outcast. "Kentucky..." she would mutter softly and just shake her head, Io was confused like before and didn't know what the hell to think anymore with all these questions.
[22:17] James Matfield frowns at the next bit of information, “So you lost your memory?” he asks, but that still didn’t fully explain it. “A brother named Kyle” he looks a bit sad though at the information. “So then you don’t remember…sitting around with your older brother, talking about how they would run away and try to find a better place to live, just them and they wouldn’t need anyone else?” he asks, trying to not say it as him and her, since she clearly must be from California. He looks at the nurse who was turning red too, she believed she was right but clearly didn’t know how sad it made her boss.
[22:19] Iokko Molko shakes her head more and more till her hair slips from the ponytail and would start getting upset, "no no no I don't understand no... I don't understand" she cried out getting angry and frustrated pulling her hands up to her face at the edge of the bed like she would do when she was little and her mom would beat her. Showing signs she was his sister without even knowing it though, "stop it... just stop it I don't know... ok... I don't know..." she would listen to him shaking her head trying to cover her face up by burying her head in her knee's now even if it hurt like hell. "Just stop it James just STOP IT!" she screamed out now just wanting to run away from this whole thing.
[22:23] James Matfield was confused as to why she was getting upset at him since he was the one at a loss here, that is until she puts her hands up to her face just like his sister used to, “Why are you upset for?” he asks, still not wanting to believe it. “I am just asking because the nurse did a DNA test on you because of all the stuff going on in town…and she said ours matched. That you are my kid sister that I lost” he sighs, “I am sorry…but you said you were born in California and I just hoped…” he trails off, looking sad all over again, “I wanted…my sister back” he still thought momentarily she looked like her, but was he just seeing what he wanted?
[22:28] Iokko Molko shakes her head and would not know what exactly to say in this still trying to slightly hide her head, "ours... ours matched?" she looked down not knowing what to say...how could this be true. Almost like she could feel her heart stop and the world go blank and muffled trying to remember, "I.... I don't know... but I do have some things that are old... and... they umm they were from before when I don't remember. My parents never got rid of them but it was some photographs and a small bear and a suitcase" she shook her head trying to wrap it around the thought of this being her brother. "Do you remember what she looked like back when you were kids? Like if I showed you a photo you'd know for sure it was her?" Placing her chin on her knee's now curious to see if she was, I mean how could DNA testing lie its a machine that does all the work.
[22:32] James Matfield “Of course I remember what my sister looks like” he says, his face haunted by the day they were basically torn apart, her crying, him fighting…it was a mess. “I could never forget my sisters face…” he adds, crossing his arms and looking down at her. “Your parents would have told you that you were adopted right?” he asks, knowing most parents would not have though, “My sister had a stuffed animal…but then again, guess what girl didn’t?”
[22:35] Iokko Molko nodded and would sigh looking up to him, "well then umm I have it at my apartment here in town but I'm not going to give my keys to you." Io would then let her legs down and slip out of bed carefully to try and stand falling then towards the chair when a twinge of pain struck her after standing, "ouch..." she would cry out softly while trying to stand up. "Ever since my accident my parents have pushed things to be a certain way and right now I'd believe just about... anything..." she would groan then trying to use the walls to walk slowly after standing up straight.
[22:38] James Matfield “I don’t expect you to do that…” he says softly, watching her walk, “You should be careful. You should take it slow a few days until your stomach is healed better” he uncrosses his arms, “I mean, I don’t mind discharging you, but if you want to bring me the picture later, I won’t mind. But I do want to know” he says, not trying to push her. Plus did she trust him enough to take him to her place? “I don’t see how the test could be wrong, but it would suck to put you through pain for no reason”
[22:40] Iokko Molko placed her hands on her thighs and would scoff, "well if its wrong then you can bring me back here and load me up on pain meds. If its right... you get the meds for me" she laughed harder only to make a face of pain and keep on scooting forward in her bunny slippers. "I am now just as curious as you are... and I want to know damn it..." she would sigh then to almost make it out the door going towards the elevator.
[22:42] James Matfield “Could you at least let me help you?” he calls out, following her. He figured she was ready to be discharged anyways, but he wanted to make sure she had someone to take care of her. Guess that would fall on him partially if it was true. “I can help you walk” he would try to take her arm and head down the elevator with her. He would go quiet though on the way back to her place, curious about the truth.
[22:45] Iokko Molko looks over as he catches up and forces a smile when he takes her arm, "thanks..." she would say softly. His help was much relief really as it felt so much better with help rather than to do it all alone, "cab.."she would say after they then piled in she'd tell the driver her address and off they would go then to use her elevator to ge to her apartment.
[22:48] James Matfield rides along in the cab with her until they get to her place and he would just help her to the door if allowed. “Nice place” he mutters, waiting for her to you know, open the door and go inside. It was the moment of truth surely and part of him half expected to be disappointed.
[22:52] Iokko Molko smiled and would nod then biting her lip as she would shut the door behind them and move along the wall till she made it into her bedroom. Getting on her knee's she'd then grab a suitcase that was laying against the bench at the end of her bed where she had normally kept it and picked it up as much as she could to open it up and sigh with the pictures scattered inside and a bear. She would pick up the bear and pull off a couple of fuzzies, "I don't remember him... or these... but I found them hidden in my room after the accident and " she would shrug with a sigh hoping he could make something out of them. The pictures would be of after her new parents in California got her up until her accident, so if he saw any resemblance it would be in the photos of closer to their split.
[22:55] James Matfield did get a bit nervous about following her into the bedroom, knowing nothing of her personal life. She may have an angry boyfriend or fiancé, whom he’d totally check out if she was his sister, to make sure they weren’t jerks. “Ok” he says, seeing the bear first, it did look like his sister’s bear, “Can I hold one of the pictures?” and if she agreed, he would take them from her and start looking at them. He recognized her alright but he wasn’t sure what to do about it. “Do you remember the name…Sarah Bethany?” he asks, finding the picture that looked the youngest and looking at her and her new parents. She had gotten the happy family he had hoped they would get, while he got the worst side. “That was my sister’s name and that’s who is in these pictures”
[23:00] Iokko Molko would nod as he asked to hold them, "sure yea go ahead..." she would nod and grab a handful and hold them up for him. "My parents were.... " she would stop when he asked her a question. "No... is that her name?" she'd ask then to perk a brow and watch his face. Her heart started to beat faster when she heard his next set of words and it slightly freaked her out, "what do you mean... you mean... your my...." she would start to hyperventilate trying not to get upset but what the HELL! She hated the lost memories that weren't there, and the fact that he knew and she didn't was like Io didn't even know her whole life. Other's knew it for her, "so that..... sister... your sister... is... me?" she wanted to make sure she was getting this right and not getting it all fucked up.
[23:04] James Matfield “I don’t know about your parents…or why they didn’t tell you but it isn’t my right…I shouldn’t be doing this” he sighs, sliding down on the floor beside her, “But I positive this is my sister in your pictures so unless there is some other reason you got them and you grew up looking like…this little girl…” he trails off, noting the resemblance more so now, “I don’t see any other explanation.” He wasn’t freaking out though. This was what he always wanted, but she didn’t remember him. He always wanted to apologize for failing her, but how could he do that now? “I don’t know IO…this is messed up” he finally looks over at her again, “But you don’t remember me…so I guess…it’s fine” he says it with a sad smile though.
[23:10] Iokko Molko shrugs, "I don't think I would have stolen these as they were in this suitcase" she sighed and just grabbed the bear not knowing what to do. Looking over she saw the phone and as much as it pained her she grabbed it and started to dial her parents out in California, "Mom?" she'd say hearing another voice on the line as her eyes would look over at James' face seeing how sad it was. "Tell me about the adoption... and Sarah... and tell me everything..." her voice was sounding cold as ice as if pissed wasn't even as mad as she was right now. Dead silence could be heard before "how did you find out" was all that was said and she looked at James with tears in her eyes now starting to form. "So.... it's true..." she would say as her voice started to break up and go slightly hoarse just not knowing what else to say to them. Dropping the phone with her 'mom' still on the line she'd turn possibly pulling some stitches from her wound and would just wrap her arms around James if he would let her crying out now more
[23:10] Iokko Molko: than before.
[23:14] James Matfield didn’t think she had stolen the pictures either as the girl looked just like her. He grows silent as he hears her on the phone, not knowing what to say, or even speaking up while she speaks. He could hear her voice only, but when she said it’s true, his heart sinks. He still doesn’t speak up but instead is surprised when she turns and wraps her arms around him. He doesn’t hug her back at first, freezing up but she felt like his sister and it was true, he had her back. Finally, he puts his arms around her and squeezes her, tears in his eyes. “I am sorry” he says softly, meaning it for so many things. Her mom would be on the phone calling for her from the floor too.
[23:17] Iokko Molko had been sniffing and wiping her arm across her nose when she pulled back and looked at him with tears just streaming down her face, "James... I'm so sorry... I'm sorry I can't remember you and I want to... so badly...." she would be angry with herself more so than anything else. Io didn't know really what to say or do, but she did ignore her mother calling and calling as she was. "But I have felt like something was missing, all my life... and for the first time I feel like that lost piece of me is found..." she would then pull back if he'd allow it to smile at him through the rain of her tears.
[23:21] James Matfield “It’s ok, I can’t fault you for it” he says, letting her pull back. “I’ve always felt the same but I’ve known what it was” other than Sidda’s mom after death, he knew the other big piece of his life missing was his sister, “I promised you…when our parents died that I would always look after you. We were finally going to be free and live our lives. But instead, they split us up and it was all my fault” he still had tears in his eyes, but he would try to wipe at hers, “I am so sorry…but you had a family and I am glad you did honestly. That’s what is important”
[23:24] Iokko Molko would listen to him and let him wipe away her tears as she tried to do the same for him, "a family that lied to me... so I wouldn't remember the truth..." she would shake her head angry at them. "But we now have each other, brother..." she would sigh happily and look to him again through her foggy glasses. "Crap..." she'd say looking down to see blood spotting on her shirt. "I think.... I think oh god I'm not going to open up am i ?" she was starting to get scared as she had a look of worry wash over her. "One day I will remember..." she muttered to herself wondering if there was any way she could, perhaps something like hypnotize her or something.
[23:27] James Matfield smiles as she wipes away his tears, “Your family probably only lied to you to protect you. You came from a broken home and they wanted you to be happy. Can you really fault them for that? It’s best you don’t even remember our family” he sighs, then spots the blood on her shirt, “I can fix it I’m sure…don’t worry sis. I will always take care of you” he adds, then looks back to her face, “I hope you do but for now, let’s check to see if your stitch is torn too badly” he had so much to tell her though plus…there was Sidda. She had an aunt now after all.
[23:34] Iokko Molko winced and would pull up her shirt slightly so he could assess the situation, "is it..." she'd sigh then and shake her head. "I can't but why should i not remember our family when you are my family..." she would shake her head. "Do we have to go back to the hospital?" she would ask biting her lower lip hoping it wasn't all that bad. When in the midst of everything she would get large eyes and to just stare at him as of she knew everything, "Wait..." she'd say loudly while breathing heavily. "I'm... I'm an AUNT!" she would then start hyperventilating again, "oh god..." she all of a sudden started to feel very weak.
[23:37] James Matfield “You can remember me now at least. I mean, I really do want you to remember some of the things we did together. We were really close growing up, but…there are a lot of bad memories too” like his dad throwing him down the stairs or her mother beating her, striking her across the back often times. “I don’t think so. Actually I think I got a tube of surgical glue in my jacket. I always run into so many people bleeding, I keep it on me” he smiles weakly, pulling it out of his inside pocket but he stops when she starts freaking out, “Relax, don’t worry about Sidda yet. She’s a good kid and we will ease you into it. I don’t even have to tell her until you are ready” which is hard since he tells Sidda most everything
[23:41] Iokko Molko nodded to him but that wouldn't stop her from freaking out really, "yea... sure... I mean.... yea... uhhuh..." she'd respond watching him pull something out of his jacket like a magician. "Really.... you..." she would then roll her eyes back into to her head and either crash into him or the floor if he didn't catch her. Io had freaked out so much that she had gone all out and had an asthma attack, which didn't happen often as she was normally calm and collected in most cases.
[23:44] James Matfield had always kept it, seriously. He is a doctor in a town where almost everyone is being stabbed or raped at some point. How many wounds did he stop from bleeding by doing this? “I do…” he looks stunned though when she starts crashing to the floor, trying to catch her in his arms and ease her down, “Come on IO, come back to me” he had to remember he is a doctor and well, she sounded like she was having an asthma attack, “Shit, don’t you do this to me now!” he shakes her, wondering where she kept her inhalers. He eases her on to the floor and shoots a look around, surely she had an inhaler!
[23:48] Iokko Molko's body was layed on the ground, still breathing but very lightly. Sadly the mix of everything just made her go all crazy and she didn't know how to handle things really, it freaked her out seriously. Io would then try and go through her memories but all she could come across was some of her accident, seeing the wave eat her like a giant monster. Not knowing much of what was going on around her as James seemed to be looking for her inhaler which might prove hard to find as she kept it hidden incase she had guys come over for the sexy times.
[23:52] James Matfield didn’t want to go through all her things but what could he do? “IO, please tell me you have an inhaler” he growls, moving over and if she didn’t stop him, he’d start looking around her dresser and not opening drawers just yet. HE didn’t want to see her panties after all. He didn’t have long to do it either and he sure didn’t want to cut a hole in her throat, “Come on!” he was worried now she would die on him. He pulls open her top drawer and hopes like hell it’s in there and not a bunch of sex toys.
[23:57] Iokko Molko's eye's were closed and could not talk to him as she just layed there, still with everything that just happened she couldn't help but get upset over this. Her parents lies about her life and whatnot made go overboard, laying there she'd take a deep breath as calming down from passing out. Body starting to stabilize itself so her brother could feel better, though when he looked he'd not find anything but her panties and at worst a box of condoms. Groaning as her body twitched slightly from the pain that was growing in her side again, her body was reacting to the pain also in her mind as she saw herself hit a rock just like she was watching from a far during her accident.
[00:00] James Matfield shudders when he sees the condoms and her panties but not the inhaler. She had so many drawers and stuff, he couldn’t help but feel defeated, “Damn” he moves back over to check on her, but finds her to be calming down and her breathing returning to normal, “Thank heavens” he says, not thinking she can hear him. He pulls her shirt back up above her wound and wipes away some of the blood before trying to seal the wound back up, “Sis…” he says softly.
[00:05] Iokko Molko would blink before she looked up to him with a sigh, "James... what... what happened?" she asked then rubbing her head as if she had some huge headache. Groaning as she felt cold wet on her stomach but would see that the blood was wiped away and that it looked as if he put something on her stomach, that would make her smile. "Thanks..." she would say trying to sit up although that would not be in the cards for her right now only making her stumble back down with a groan.
[00:07] James Matfield “I think you hyperventilated and maybe an asthma attack? I tried to find an inhaler in case that was what it was” he says, “I didn’t know where to look but you passed out from it. Thankfully your body calmed down on its own” he shifts on the floor near her, “I think though, if I am to be your brother, you should tell me where you keep your inhalers” he teases, “So…if I bring up you being an aunt again, is it going to freak you out more?” he'd try to not let her sit up either, "Rest a moment"
[00:12] Iokko Molko would nod and lay back closing her eyes before letting out a small laugh, "oh... ummm right hand drawer in my dressing table there..." she pointed up to it with a smile. "Just in case..." she would say then to wave a finger at him like no time had gone by between the two of them. "Maybe I should head off to bed?" she would swallow hard not knowing if she could handle a conversation about being an aunt though it did intrigue her more so than upset her. She was afraid she'd be some horrible bad person, but would sigh knowing now was not the time for that. "No I won't freak out..." she would smile and then just look over at her bed as if that was home base and she needed to get into the covers.
[00:16] James Matfield “Yeah, thanks for telling me now” he says, then he would reach down for her, “Here, I’ll help you up on the bed and you can do the rest. I’ll lock the door as I leave” he sure could understand, they both needed to sleep on this. “I’ll catch you tomorrow or something. I hope…” he trails off, “Anyways…I am glad to know you again” he didn’t know if he should hug her or what, so he just would try to help her up and turn to leave.
[00:18] Iokko Molko would look at him as he spoke but would nod when he mentioned helping her onto her bed, "thanks..." she would nod with a sigh thinking they really did need to sleep on this whole new world. "Well you know where I live and umm...I should probably give you my number shouldn't I?" she bit her lower lip not knowing what avenue to take with a long lost brother at this point. "I'm glad to know you too James..." she'd nod with a sigh.
[00:19] James Matfield just reaches into his pocket and lays his card down on her table, “There is my number instead, just tomorrow when you get up, shoot me a text or call so I have yours” he would look back at her and smile, “Sleep well and I look forward to knowing you more” and then he would head out so she and her player most likely could sleep.
