Xu Siha was born in Guilin, China to half-Chinese-American backpacker Rosalia Cornfield and local tour-guide father, Mingzé Xu. Siha enjoyed a calm, loving home environment for the majority of her formative years until at 19 years old, tragedy struck, and her mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness. The family moved to the United States so that Rosalia could fulfil her wish of passing away in her own hometown with all of her family around her. Now a widowed father, Mingzé struggled for years to work in an unfamiliar country to pay off his deceased wife's medical debts and keep Siha afloat whilst the two struggled to adjust to a new culture, a new language, and a new way of life.

Siha worked casual and part-time jobs here and there but nothing ever stuck, as the once happy and mentally healthy teenager transitioned into a withdrawn, miserable adult. She struggled to connect with others and make lasting friendships or relationships, and given that her entire life had been uprooted, she had no idea what she wanted to do for the rest of it. Three years after her mother's passing, at the age of 22, Siha and her father were evicted from their home - which was a big blow to the family's morale given it had been chosen by their dearly departed. With barely enough money between them, Siha and her father moved to Hathian for lack of other affordable options and again there she was, starting her life over.

With no higher education or degree to show for herself, Siha only managed to land an low-paid apprenticeship at Hathian's Bakery. One night, after accidentally stumbling across the Twister and being mesmerized by a male stripper's performance (and the sheer amount of cash being passed around) she applied to work there on the spot, keeping up the lie to her father that she works as a Baker's apprentice. Working as a server, Siha is building up the courage to apply for a stripper position, knowing full well that's where the real money is, though every night at work is a culture shock she adapts as well as she can.

In a new city, full of new faces and opportunities both good and bad, how far will Siha go to make money? To feel independent and free? To create a life of her own?

FUTURE PLANS: Siha is kind at heart, sometimes naively so, and lived a relatively sheltered life for the majority of her years in China. She's never experienced any sort of violence; not even a little fist-fight. I'm excited to slowly, slowly have her corrupted by this city and the people in it. I can't wait to see her resolve tested, her boundaries pushed, and potentially even have something bad happen to her (npc) father or to her because of choices she's made.

Thank you to everyone so far who's written with me in-world at Hathian, I thought this post was long overdue hehe. Please feel free to drop me a pm or just walk up if you see me in world 🙂
