BeBe and I have some pretty ambitious plans for the coming weeks. I know we've been hinting at it for a while now, and I've even given a few of you a sneak peek. Plans to rebuild all the sims is well underway. I am working on the outter sims and working my way inwards towards Hathian. However, the new build is only small part of the "new CD" that is to come.

One of the things about CD that I am really proud about, and I am sure the rest of the community feels the same, is that we've always been a leader in defining what immersive RP -should- be in SL. There have been so many instances where we've found our guides and rules plagiarized, our group structure copied, and original concepts like player applications "borrowed" by sims that no doubtingly found inspiration from us. Regardless, we look at our community, things we've achieve, and firmly believe we've always been a step ahead of the game...

Well, I just wanted to now say that we're going to be taking SEVERAL steps ahead very soon.

Focused on our weakest areas, we've devised plans that will revolutionize the way we approach urban RP. We are going to roll out new tools which will help our community track the development of their characters, streamline the entire registration process for groups and organizations, help keep track of activity between the many timezones, and improve on the way we communicate. There is a huge internal shake up too; we're going to enable ourselves to recruit fresh blood and plug in tools that will help us better manage almost all aspects of our community.

I wish I could be more specific, but it'll just ruin the surprise 😉 I've had to spread out the work erratically over the summer ... but I think we're at a place now where we're going to work in sprints and see this through soon. The hardest part was the planning phase; now, development has started. I also want to thank our active staff for the work they've been doing -- they have been holding down the fort relentlessly while BeBe and I deal w/ these projects for CD and the not-so-fun operational activities that keep us afloat!

Out of curiosity though, I'd love to hear your feedback on where YOU think we're at and what areas we can improve on. I want to make sure this next evolution of CD will address most if not all of them. I'll share specifics on my responses to each 😉
