I've been talking with a few players lately, both chemists and users and would like to get a consensus on drugs created. This is not a knock at any of the existing RP, but just a concern in general. It would be nice to have some kind of registry or thread where we could see what the effects of a drug are and it's properties and have those blessed by Admin. I'm all for a good story, but there seems like there's a lot of ways creating a new 'wonder drug' could be abused. For example, a drug giving someone immunity from pepper spray could be a great story or could be just impossible to suspend disbelief. Since there's a potential to get people arguing OOCly about what's plausible during a scene, slowing everyone else down and creating animosity, could we see something similar to business discussion or faction discussion for new drugs and chemical compounds?

I'm all for RP that goes beyond the typical rape and reprisal theme and think this would be as helpful for the chemists as it would be for the players affected by the drugs. Thoughts?
