Alright, i started this post principally to address the questions that I've realised a lot of players have about what is and isn't needed permission for.

It's been discussed lately in a few conversations, what is and isn't okay without consent, so maybe some of the mods/admins/business leads that know for sure can comment, and clear peoples minds.

Specifically I've heard asked is:

Does ooc consent need to be had before you can kick the door in on any gang turf/hideout, to search the room/building.

Does ooc consent need to be had for trespassing on private land, to peek through windows and/or breaking into homes.

Does there need to be ooc consent for stealing small items from shops ie candy bars from the Clam, a pastry from the Grind, a beer from Lou's, donuts from the bakery etc.

Does ooc consent need to be had for vandalising businesses. Ie graffiti-tagging outside walls, robbing or trashing a business, or gang turf building.

I think people just need clarification on whether you leave an nc with details after, or ask ooc before. The website doesn't really cover consent rules in detail. So i think this is where the confusion lies.
