Wicked Studio

BACKGROUND: I've been roleplaying at the studio almost since the start of Backwaters RP, as one of Xena's directors. The studio has provided a lot of enjoyable roleplay and storylines so far and is in an excellent position to continue doing so. Connections have been made with the Serpent's Den and further collaborations are being set up with the Chinese Takeaway and others, which provide exposure for their erotic services and their employees, as well as giving the studio more talent. This opens the door to opportunities for special events related to the erotic side of each business, where applicable; a sense of "Rule 34" at play. With a goal of an accessible and collaborative approach to the business, the studio would seek variety and opportunity for expanding its audience IC. OOC, this would allow for individuals and businesses alike to become involved in the smutty side of storylines, including associated activities with money, gangs, trafficking, and so on.

 

UNIQUE: The porn business IC is an excellent starting point for RP ideas that, while they may be about lewdness on a base level, can easily branch out into all manner of characters' lives and storylines. In a place like Backwaters the appeal of those dark and lustful things makes this more true, and with collaborating with other business, individuals, and shady groups, facilitating activity between them, Wicked Studio could stand out as a source for sparking or furthering RP under the umbrella of perversion, crime, dark fates, bizarre fetishes, abduction, revenge, ritual, and whatever else they can facilitate for profit.

 

EXPERIENCE: IC, active as a director at the studio since nearly the start and thus has been involved in setting up what's been done so far, particularly with the other business connections. OOC, many administrative positions in the past and lead IC roles (faction head, GOT ruler, Hathian Triple-X owner).

 

IDEAS: Engagement and taking advantage of the studio being right there in front of where people land when they choose to start alone at the landing point. Almost any character will have some reaction to a place associated with porn, whether its curiosity and interest or disgust, and that's something we can play with. For those who join the business, those who are active and present would be quickly entrusted with promoting the RP goals outlined here. Engaging with others and recruiting, encouragement to initiate their ideas in RP rather than wait for someone else, or making sure the ones who want to be bossed around have something to do, and so on.

 

OTHER: I don't think it's necessary or really applicable to have a re-opening event for the studio. Instead there would be a push to let the rest of Laveau know the studio is active and available to facilitate RP.
