DATE: 10/04/13

PROPOSAL BY: kaxannazan monokarlsefni

GROUP NAME: Taste of Tribbiani

TYPE: Winery/wine tasting

SLURL: Teleport

BACKSTORY: Luigi Bastiano Tribbiani is the third son of Alejandro Tribbiani, whom had deep seated roots in the Italian mafia until his death. Luigi and his brothers were born into this life and made names for themselves, Luigi commonly known in the family as the Houdini for his signature mafia hits. Pushing fifty the man has since slowed down his mafia trade and is pushing his own legacies, knowing that there is profit to be made in America where his brother's son, Anthony now resides. He and his second wife have moved to Hathian, to introduce their winery, to search out appropriate real estate and establish roots in the deep south. He also wants to provide support and a fatherly role to his nephew who struggles to maintain the Italian tradition and hold on his family name, intending to mend ties where he may and severe others where they do not succeed.

UNIQUE: The wine tasting business has become popular in America, more and more 'winerys' have been popping up in urban areas, buildings with no obvious vineyard on the property. It's the opportunity to visit the actual winery without having to travel thousands of miles to do so. It's the opportunity to sample the wine before you buy, the socialization that goes along with that and the opportunity to network and be part of the community. Luigi owns three vineyards in the eastern boot of Italy along the coast line, they span across 150 kilometers and is just now introducing the third vineyard to the American populace. He married the North and the South vineyard to produce a more delicate and flavor filled wine that he feels would sell better in America. All his product will be shipped on as need basis, his earliest vintage going back to 2004; he feels he is ready to make profit.

EXP: I have personally led many rp groups, mostly faction based whether it be the Orcs in Mystara or DocWagon in the old Shadow run sim. I've also ran small business rp's here and there and like to keep them running and active with other roleplayers. My intention here is to develop a story and write with others that enjoy a little touch of mafia, a little touch of scandal, and a little touch of the finer life in a grungy city.

IDEAS:I encountered another roleplayer here that icly inputed his ideas when we were location hunting. He suggested we spike the wine samples and make it more of a commodity and high end rather than just sell pussy out of the top floor. We're talking LSD, X, my idea of Viagra....etc. This would involve having to actually get our own local suppliers and make us stand out from other businesses that sell wine. This ain't no Boones Farm so only the ballers and the doctors and lawyers will likely be the main customer base. It will also provides for future site of mafia activity

OTHER: I realize that the business seems aimed at the higher class citizen but it is at first look a wine tasting facility, you can actually come in off the street and sample a glass for a minimal price or a smaller sample for next to nothing. With three different vineyards to choose from, he will have more affordable but very good wine available. Also the business will be open to employment and not specifically designed for Italians.
