PROPOSAL BY: Denise Domela

GROUP NAME: Civil Services

TYPE: Municipal/City Offices

SLURL: Teleport

BACKSTORY: Currently the Civil Service (CS) group is in need of a leader position. CS is already an established organization in Hathian. As instructed, to continue onwards I would like to put in for serving as the OOC leader of the group. My main goal as the OOC leader would be to provide structure for its group members and act as a liaison between our group and other organizations in Crack Den on an OOC and IC level. I’ve been active in this group and helped initiate the ideas behind doing city inspections. Currently CS offers a variety of jobs that have established rules and some guidelines already in place, they are as follows: Lawyers (defense and prosecutor), City Inspector, Sanitation Workers, Social Worker/Child Protective Services, Correctional Officer, Probation Officer , Bail Enforcement Officer (thru Remy Follet), Judges, and Juvenile Detention services CS does house what would be considered the cities other municipal services. If someone has an idea of a role they would like to play, as the leader I am very open to all suggestions and ideas and would help out in any way I could. Additional jobs I would like to encourage and provide are legal aides, receptionists, parks and recreation services, transportation services (if the bus system becomes implemented, this could possibly fall under our group to monitor) and any other basic municipal services a city requires. With the above mentioned careers, as the leader of the group and collaborations with its current members I would set forth one general set of guidelines for those participating in CS role-play to utilize and get them pointed in the right directions to promote realistic, IC city run role-play scenarios. As of right now most of our resources are scattered to different note cards and not organized in one central location, this would be part of what the leader of CS can develop and move this group forward. Aside from offering more jobs I would like to encourage its current members to begin posting updates on a designated thread in the forums, similar to what the gangs and other organizations refer to. Basically letting the community know we are active, we are there and welcome people to join in on a storyline tied into CS. Currently we have done something similar with keeping the health inspections records publically listed on the forums. Lawyers, social workers and the like can post their current cases, rosters etc. Hopefully in doing so it also gives incentive to others to bring in an idea for their group or character, to utilize CS in their story arcs.

UNIQUE: The type of role-play coming thru CS is usually for those willing to use their brains over muscles, are able to negotiate and make deals, and attention to details. A balance of honest hard working citizens and the more corrupt city officials would be prime for this group. My character personally already is corrupt and as a leader I would like to stir up some fun chaos as the IC leader of the group

EXP:I have been actively role-playing in SL since 2004, a long time resident of the game I have played in various role-play sims over the years on all sorts of levels. The best qualities I can offer are that I believe I am pretty fair and always willing to work something out among other players if needed. Communication is key for this type of position. Online often enough to always be available for questions/concerns and to be able to guide players in the right directions.

IDEAS:There is a lot of potential for various role-play to stem from the above examples CS provides. A different approach to committing crimes or be the ones prosecuting them, rather than the typical weapon yielding that is rampant all over the city. It requires people to make deals, take new risks, and generate community role-play.

OTHER:No other comments except thanks for the time in reading, lookin forward to it
