piper rewellsaidThe Proposal/Feedback Phase is an important part of faction development and approval, so please read this over and ask questions, express what you like, give suggestions you have, advice on what may or may not work based on your experience, etc. Keep in mind that admins do not necessarily need to be convinced to approve it, as a faction without potential wouldn't even be posted. Feedback means both support and giving what you see could help shape their faction story and place in the community! Deadmen Motorcycle Club TYPE: MEMBERS: deadlysalem, callisto.vlodovic,Nathan Odigaunt BACKGROUND: Background: In 1952,The Deadmen Motorcycle Club was founded by Randalph 'Raspy' Rankin alongside his two best friends David 'Bulldozer' Bristol and Kyle 'Sane' Russel. All three men were soldiers who'd returned from Germany after the end of World War II. Like a lot of men returning from the war, they all came back with a myriad of different mental health issues. These issues caused the men to have a hard time readjusting to their family lives, causing them to feel estranged from those who hadn't undergone the same horrors they did. This led the group of friends to find solace in one another's company. They needed an escape from their lives at home, not only for their own sake, but the sake of their families. This led them all to purchasing motorcycles, where they found further peace while riding together. This led the small group of friends to various bars where they encountered like-minded men who faced them same issues they did, but who also found some form of enjoyment and sense of freedom from riding. The group of men were re-shaped by war and had grown cold and hard as a result, but only toward outsiders and people who didn't think like them, or those of whom didn't endure the same things they had. They'd begun hearing stories of big Motorcycle Clubs such as 'Hells Angels' and they decided it was time to form their own club. The men officially formed the first charter for The Deadmen Motorcycle Club in 1952, New Orleans, San Antonio, Texas: Randalph 'Raspy' Ranking - President David 'Bulldozer' Bristol - Vice President Kyle 'Sane' Russel - Sergeant At Arms Logan 'Goldtooth' Bishop - Treasurer Jared 'J-roc' Sims - Road Captain Peter 'Piston' Andrews - Secretary The Deadmen quickly expanded their ranks, putting their heads together to come up with unique and often illegal ways to make money and to keep their addled minds stimulated. A large portion of their illegal funds came from bootlegging, prostitution and extortion/security gigs. These activities gave the men that thrill that they craved since being shipped back home after the end of the war. Always covering their tracks in ways that made it so the local authorities could only follow bread-crumb trails which ultimately led them nowhere. Another vital reason these men worked so well together was because of their comradery, which only grew stronger as they continued to work together. Over the years they'd grown quite a reputation for themselves, which only bolstered their numbers and caused the club to become more well-known to the general public. UNIQUE: Drugs, bootlegging, illegal importation of liquor, security detail, prostitution. FLAW: The Deadmen MC will become a band of tightly knit brothers like a traditional MC should have. This has it's strengths and it's flaws. Snatch up a member and torture him to send a message and you might find it easy to break the MC's will.. That, and bikers are known for their substance abuse, which will make them easier targets at certain hours of the day. POTENTIAL ENEMY: Barracudas is currently ran by me and I will be using it as a 'home base' for the MC. Through Barracudas we can introduce the MC to the local populace since that'll be their primary headquarters. Some stories are already in progress or in the early stages of being discussed with other groups on the sim. EXPERIENCE:I've roleplayed 'Cross' as an MC member for about 4 RL years give or take and in that time i've come to learn quite a lot about MC culture. I feel being able to share that knowledge with people interested in learning about the culture will help me in my leadership position. On top of that, I am currently managing Barracudas as recently stated - and i've been roleplaying within CD since 2007 off and on between different accounts/characters. IDEAS:New players are more than welcome to approach the MC and attempt to join. Of course, joining an MC is no easy task. With that being said, however - I had very little knowledge about MC's when I joined my first, and it was a wonderful learning experience I wish to bring forward to any new players interested in joining, or just interested in general. OTHER:Barracudas is currently ran by me and I will be using it as a 'home base' for the MC. Through Barracudas we can introduce the MC to the local populace since that'll be their primary headquarters. Some stories are already in progress or in the early stages of being discussed with other groups on the sim. |
