Hello --

My niece Meghan and I have been living in the Florida Apartments since I took custody of her from her father several weeks ago. Her mother has been gone for years, and it just isn't safe or viable for her to be with her father (a long and difficult story).

I've asked her if she would like me to adopt her, and very happily she's said that she would. But, we have no idea how to go about this. Could someone please direct me to the proper authorities so that we can get the process started?
