Only prescribe antibiotics for bacterial infections if:
Symptoms are significant or severe
There is a high risk of complications
The infection is not resolving
Refer to these as a general rule, some conditions are the exception to the rule.

Benzylpenicillin
SKIN INFECTIONS:
Cephalexin
Erythromycin
GASTROINTESTINAL:
Erythromycin
Ciprofloxacin
STD/URINARY:
Chlamydia – Azithromycin
Gonorrhoea – Ceftriaxone
Vaginitis/Yeast Infections – Metronidazole
PID – Ceftriaxone
UTI – Trimetoprim
