Growing up poor in a small coastal town, Daisy, a sassy yet softhearted girl, worked the beauty pageant circuit, hoping it would be her way out. Eventually she made her way to the exciting city of New Orleans where she won her most prominent title- Miss Crawfish Etouffe, Unfortunately for a girl who likes her heels and her hair a little too high, and who lacks big city social graces, she couldn't shake her white trash label and soon discovered that New Orleans was not the city for her. She moved to Hathian, downtrodden, hoping to salvage her life and connect with the community. She quickly settled in, getting a job at the local bar and fell in love with her other half- a handsome, funny, quick witted mechanic- marrying him soon after. She spends her days volunteering and teaching pageant classes, and her nights bar tending or performing at open mic nights. Behind that big beauty queen smile is a woman just trying to make it and keep herself happy and sane, while trying to shake her failures.
