Caleb HarcasslesaidSo... first off... while reading this, please continue to hum in the back of your head the theme to Police Academy. For those of you who are not familiar with the works of Steve Guttenberg, GW Bailey, Bubba Smith, and Michael Winslow - please refer to this youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRxgXzk_L0s So in some very random ramblings amonst Hathian's finest, the idea of a Police Academy came up. Not only for officers (optional of course) but also for citizens. Sort of like the HPD response to an event, that doesn't neccessarily involve us flash banging the Twister or occupying Bourbon street under marshal law (although you can bet that will still happen). It's more so just a way to broaden rp for some of the officers, give people a chance to meet some of the officers in a setting other than being arrested, maybe develop some cross rp between CU and the HPD. So what kind of interest would there be in this? Really I think the majority of us, HPD wise, would be more so on the idea of a Police Academy 4 Citizens on Patrol style rp. Giving people who are horribley suited for police work IC'ly the opportunity to fight back. Of course it's also a good alternative punishment for those willing - both officers and citizen alike (disobey orders, have to teach a class or have to attend a class rather than sit in jail). There can be informational classes as well like - |
