I am currently building a corruption story arc & I am seeking players who'd like to participate. This is aimed at business owners or managers, as well as HPD officers, and even a criminal element.

Sergeant Williams and a few others have been making the rounds asking for donations from local businesses, when in reality it is extortion to maintain protection from members of the HPD. This comes in the form of putting businesses on the 'Priority' list in the event of an incident at the business. If the business doesn't pay, then responding racketeer officers may take their sweet time getting to a business. Or those in a position of power may delay a response, or simply squash the case if an investigation after the fact is made.

In the event of the a business outright refusing to pay, those running the racket may even organise for the business to be attacked, robbed, or vandalized, as has happened with a few businesses already.

Obviously this is not an action condoned by the HPD itself, and officers run the risk of being exposed and disciplined or sacked. This is just a few officers seeking to take home some side cash, with those at the top taking the most benefit.

I am seeking:

Cops who want to get involved. It is a great way to build a reputation on the sim, and open other story lines with a variety of people.

Business owners/managers who want to expand on the RP their business can bring to the sim. This is open big time. I have a few businesses that have already promised retribution on those responsible. IC consequences after all.

Criminals who want to explore possibly working for hire to 'encourage' business owners to pay up. This path would involved becoming trusted by those officers running the racket. They could run their mouth, but snitches get stitches as they say.

If interested, Sergeant Williams makes regular rounds on businesses, or delegates others to do so, so business owners can just hit me up inworld and organise a time that suits for a visit.

Officers and criminals who want a slice of the action, just let me know and I will tee up either a patrol or an arrest where we can talk ICly and test the waters!
