You know those scenes that start out of the blue? When someone posts at you and it's something unexpected and piques your interest? It's like when you're watching a show, and there's an episode that is clearly filler material to pad out the runtime; and it doesn't add much to the story, but it's memorable and a nice little break from routine.

I can only think of a few offhand. The one I most recall was a short scene from a few years ago, in which my (then-teenager) character got a random call (via IM) from someone on sim. The random caller turned out to be a nurse working at HGH, and she thought she had dialed the number of Slim's diner, unbeknownst to a confused Corbin. She told him her order, after he said something like "Make an order for what? This is Corbin... Do you know me?" He suggested the Gein, based on what she ordered, saying that he used to work there. She proceeded to recite her credit card number and code, and she said to add a tip for the 'delivery guy Corbin.' My character being who he is, just decided to go with it. He asked her where she was and told her he had nothing to write down her credit card number but that he takes cash. She was agreeable, so he went over to the Gein, ordered food and brought it to the hospital to hand-deliver it to the nurse. There were a few lines of friendly chatter after the food was handed off, and he never told her he wasn't a delivery guy. A hungry nurse got her food, and a random guy got paid for delivering it. Nothing much to it, and it was just a one-off thing, but I was tickled by it.
