An interesting one brought up by recent discussions with a new RPer in CD.

When RPing on privately rented land in the CD sims, what is recommended?
Checking with the owners of the land that the RP you conduct on their land is OK with them?
Or is the emphasis on the owners to outline what RP they are OK with, what needs their consent, and what is not allowed on their land?

I had my own ideas on this built up with years of experience in CD but the important point made with my friend was that it may not be clear to newer RPers what the protocols might be in CD. The more we talked about it, the more grey some areas became.

One factor was the type of venue set up on someone's land. How asking permission for invitations to private houses, apartments etc would differ from something which is clearly intended to be more public, like Val's Irish Pub for example. There are other contentious areas - access to gardens, lawns, beaches etc.

I'll elaborate more on some example scenarios where things get tricky, but first - opinions please!
