I am asking this to gauge interest before I consider doing it and create an alt to do it (as my 300 lbs Muslim felon, 18 yo semi-religious guido do not make ideal candidates for a priestly life).

Also please note none of this is approved as of yet, it is an idea I am toying with for a change in my roleplay.

I want to know how many people would be interested in attending and taking part in regular church services on Sundays. Due to my schedule, I am almost always free on Sundays (hungover but free). It would be a Catholic service, but people of all faiths would be welcome (I am Catholic and my entire formal education has been at Catholic schools). The services would be shortened and be focused on the drama that surrounds a church in an environment such as Hathian. I would be looking for a regular congregation on Sunday and other priests and clergy (brothers, sisters, monks etc).

Ideas of possible storyline:
Confessions- we all know you miscreants could use it and it would be quite humorous to hear some people confess what they did to a priest. It also would give the more spiritual players who play our city’s criminals to take care of their eternal souls.

Charities/Help Groups- From clothing drives focused on the denizens of our city who persist in wearing tube tops in the winter to Collections for all the orphan children to Clean needle drives for drug users, a lot of stuff could be done on a charity level.

Missionary Work- Attempts at converting people such as Gang Leaders, Strippers, drug users whomever could do with the grace of god in their lives.

Funerals/Weddings- a no brainer since I have seen a lot of weddings/funerals presided over by NPC priests (at least the ones I have been to, I know some priests are around).

Helpgroups- From AA meetings to interventions, a lot is done in a church after hours.

Exorcisms- Because some of you baby eaters and killers have to have some sort of demon inside of you!

Orphanage- Taking in orphans of the city and having them live in the church until social services finds them a home and a loving family.

Now, these are just some of the organized events that would take place. Storylines surrounding the church could be plenty as a church can be used as sanctuary from the police to a corrupt priest. All are possibilities for the future, but what I want to start is a group of people interested in a weekly event for Hathian’s spirituals to congregate.
