ellis-milletsaidNow we all know that I thrive on realism and playing things out. Well, I have also found that sometimes when one plays realism, it can sometimes feel like you're just being punished. I am, at this point, not talking about being arrested because to be honest I get a LOT of rp over there. However, when Ellis inevitably got committed to the hospital, I haven't had any rp besides the initial rp getting him there. And I'm only allowed to have RP through the door--which is windowless by the way. Not only does it make it for annoying rp but people seem less willing to do it. The only reason I went this route was because it was where his plot was going. But now I find myself disgruntled and frustrated by the fact that for 72 hours I don't get rp. I think that realism is only worth doing if you aren't forcibly taken out of RP. If you want to be sent away and not rp or if you want to warp more time, then yes by all means do it, but that is by choice. I don't want to spend 72 hours in the psych ward with fairly little RP. I don't know. I was also curious if there was a similar rule to prison where if you don't get rp within a certain time period you can NPC yourself out. Lack of RP is one of the main reasons that you find someone hobbling down the street after a short time of being in the hospital. We need a new/improved system. I've been doing this for a long time and countless times I've been in the hospital without any rp and quite honestly it is discouraging. I thought maybe it had changed since I do see doctors sometimes but so far I've gotten nadda. Sorry this is long-winded and a bit ranty but I am posting this more for us to think of ways to fix this problems not just for me but for the good of everyone. I don't mind rping that he's in the psych ward but I do mind just sitting there twiddling my thumbs for hours on end. Maybe it should be more like the prison. The past few times there have been awesome and I am never without rp! I want the hospital stay rp to be just as fun! 😀 |
