TYPE: Official Business

BACKGROUND: I think that it's important, especially right now, to project inclusivity when it comes to businesses in Laveau. There still isn't a ton of traffic in the region but hosting events that are welcoming to everyone might play as a boon on that front. Presenting Flamingos as a LGBTQ+ club feels like it might make people feel that it's limited to just that community, as where I would like to portray the feeling of invitation to anyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. The BDSM basement will remain for those with acquired tastes for such things, as well as the main floor lounge area for those who would like to just come hang out. I'd like to make a few changes to the dance floor level by giving it a darker...more Satanic theme. Of course, any changes made would be funded by me and planned within prim limitations. Flamingos would also play as a home base to the my faction, The House of the Morningstar, which is a hedonistic group (cult is such a strong word, but that's what it is!) founded on the principles of mainstream Satanism. My group does not support human trafficking of any kind, but will not fight it. The fundamental belief is in free will and the power of the individual human spirit and pursuit of pleasure. The club will provide an avenue for people from all over the community to go to enjoy themselves, however they might find their enjoyment, as long as it does not harm others. Oh, and there will be drugs. 😉

UNIQUE: By offering something for everyone. I've noticed that a lot of the time that a faction runs a business, the rest of the community who is not involved in that faction doesn't seem to feel welcome. By establishing a place that is based on inclusivity of everyone, led by a group that exudes freedom of expression, I think we could really cultivate something special here.

EXPERIENCE:I've managed a handful of long standing RP guilds within different MMOs since 2012. Duties included recruitment, both IC and OOC, event management, and general moderation and mediation of the members. One such guild was highly active for over 6 years with 400+ members, of which I was an admin. My rl job also requires a good deal of management and costumer service skills.

IDEAS:If you RP, they will come. That's always been a long standing fact in any RP community. A lot of people are too shy to initiate and some are just apathetic and expect someone else to initiate the RP for them. Whatever the case, I plan to be available IC within the business for people seeking RP to interact with. If I see a lot of people standing around on sim, I'll throw out spontaneous notices for "Happy Hour" or something like that, to draw in some people looking for something to do. People who sign up to the business will be given jobs to do. Maybe if the business is slow, I can send people out to hand out fliers in Hathian to try to lure some people over to Laveau through IC means, while giving people currently RPing something to do.

OTHER:I think an upcoming costume competition would be in the spirit of Halloween coming up, as well as an invitation for people to come express some creativity however they'd like, which would also be in the spirit of the club.
