Where to Start?

I went to University Of Louisiana, Baton Rouge qualified as a lawyer and was called to the Louisiana Bar.

I was enticed to Hathian by the offer of a job with higher salary than I can get in Baton Rouge. When I arrived, having used nearly all my money to get here, I am let down with no job and only enough for a few weeks rent and keep. I only did law because I was told I could make lots of money but so far?

I ve had to work my way through college and I'm not proud. I've worked as a dancer, a stripper and I've done a bit of escorting. Its ok if you come from a family with lots of money but my dad has been out of work since he left the marines and he cant afford to keep me on a Vet's pension. So I do what I have to do and I ain't ashamed of it.

Now I have managed to be appointed as an officer in the Hathian Police Department and I really want to make a success of this. My legal training should, in theory help me but also I may come up against some prejudice.
