paulie-broeksaidNow that I have resigned from taking part in DSV, but I do intend on staying in the gang scene one way or another (Yes, you are stuck with my stanky ass). I wish to share with you a rough draft of a system that I was going to incorporate into DSV drug dealing. Now I ask for your input, because I understand that this system is imperfect, but I hope it will add to the realism of your roleplay if you do want to use something like it. Limited Drugs: To do this, I was going to make a set amount of drugs that the gang could smuggle in each month or manufacture if it was meth/crack. This number being small makes for better more conflicted roleplay. Everytime someone wants some drugs, they have to contact someone in charge of the drug house or supply and ask for a "re-up". This re-up package would be a set amount of drugs costing a certain amount of money. The dealer would owe this amount to the boss. When a "re-up" is taken, the leader makes note of how much drugs have been taken and they lower the amount in thier supply. A forum could be used for this to keep it honest, but cheating this system would just be taking away from roleplay and this is not an official CD system, just a way to stimulate roleplay within the gang. The person who you get re ups from could be a third party who runs your stash house or just your boss if you do not have a stash house, but getting the more drugs would be roleplay for you. ALso people to help package and manufacture the drugs is an option, I know the Rejects have already done, I think (Caris ain't you cooking meth or something?). But when a gang runs out of product, they need to look for it elsewhere putting the gang into conflict with other gangs on sim. Slanging: Now to encourage people to sell drugs and stay on thier turf, a gang could make a system where the more time they spend on a corner, they earn x money from selling x amount of the drugs they have on them. It would be encouraged that people come up with methods of doing this, standing on a corner selling to all passerbys. Like it would take 30 minutes of hawking to every player to sell on 1 unit (a very small amount) npc. It would take an hour if someone is selling or causing trouble on your corner and it would be unable to sell if someone is fighting you. Each additional person helping you sell would be an additional unit of the drug. Now the npc process of selling is intended to be very slow so to discourage grinding of just standing and making money without roleplaying. What you want to do is actually sell drugs to people who come by your hood and each unit you sell in actual rp, you actually sell. It woudl all be roleplay money and this would encourage gangsters to sell on corners which is common for urban drug dealers to do. Also this open drug dealing leads to possible busts by the cops where you lose all drugs and maybe money or where you get robbed whre you lose it all. There are ways to prevent this by being creative with multiple people but you can have fun with it is roleplay. This is my short version without numbers, but its there. |
