As some of you might have already noticed, we have introduced a new official business in Hathian: The Labor Union.

The Labor Union is currently looking for a lead to help it grow and become one of the main actor of the city. Want to learn more about the business? Read on below!

Since we want to limit the amount of similar groups we have opted to combine several roles and purposes into this one. To help with confusion, here is a quick explanation both OOCly and ICly:

OOC:

- The group's goal is to provide more jobs in CD that will give players IC access (within reason) to businesses and buildings (Electricians, plumbers, contractors, recruiters, etc). Since we can't actually have all those roles we provided generic titles like "Handyman" and " Contractor". Use your imagination for what that means for your character.

- The group consists of 3 main categories:
1. Worker (ie contractor) & member: Most will fall into this category. You pay your dues and are members of the Union that will fight for your rights and, if your skill-set is right, provide other 'opportunities'.

2. Hardware store Employee: You are also members of the Union, but your main focus is the hardware store that many of the laborers go through for tools, supplies, etc.

3. Union Employees: A union is a corporation and thus needs employees to recruit, fight and run the organization. You would work in the trailer offices or hang around the hardware store doing menial work until you're noticed by an actual Teamster. Teamsters are senior Union employee that know how to make the most of their position and make sure pockets are lined.

- Who runs the group? There is only one group lead that is responsible for both the OOC and IC aspects of the CD Labor Union and Hardware Store, however, with a group this big there is a division of power by having various management across the different aspects. The union would need at least:
Board Member - Union President / Lead
Board Member - 2 Union/Teamsters Manager
Board Member - IC Hardware Store Manager

IC:

If you're not maintaining/working in the office or the hardware store and you are interested in assisting the Teamsters, the Union's white collar crime focus, feel free to recruit workers, harass business managers over wages, or simply gather information for the Union. Creativity with your role(s), with acts such as sabotage and deception, will catch the eye of the Teamsters if your character is interested in becoming more involved with the Union's criminal activities.

IMPORTANT:

Since we recognize that not all staff will want to have criminal leanings, you are welcome to let the OOC leads be aware of your preferences. To those that wish, we can mark it on the roster if you have criminal leanings (C) or if you wish to remain non-criminal (NC). This is OOC information only, but will aid us in helping to ensure that you get the sort of roleplay that you prefer out of the group.
