So, just a thought and I know I am still pretty new to the history of Hathian and don't know all what has been done before and didn't work for whatever reason. But seems like an area that HPD could create some interesting RP with a few cops would be to have like some corrupt cops who focused on Vice and developing a network of confidential informants. Not charging hookers for information (or making citations disappear so the hud shows them but the cop gets rid of it later), what they saw, what they know. Building relationships with the bottom of the RLD sorts (no offense to hookers and junkies but generally for a fix, they will tell the cops something because they usually hate someone or need a fix).

It could create some different story lines and paths for certain officers and make it interesting for building cases beyond the usual or just interaction and stuff. The cop that gives the junkie a $20 cause they tell them a name or something, helps get someone's citation dropped, because "They are just looking out for them" of course then expect something in return, usually information etc. I lot of ways it could go and be interesting for cops. I mean they are all corrupt anyway, may as well use it to their advantage.

Not trying to work against myself, as this is a conflict of interests for me but realistically it could make it more interesting. Providing a different approach for working with low level criminals that don't end up with the usual rp, sure people need citations and arrest time, how the meter is done but would be someone looking out for them because they serve their interest on a big picture side of things. Its not a stretch as the cops already turn a blind eye to what some do and not others.   Anyway, just a thought from the RLD and RP opportunity that could be interesting for the right police.

Another suggestion is, right now there is no cop you can talk to and get anything done. In a corrupt force that would not be the case, there would be those willing to make arrangements, deals, etc to allow business to be done. Right now that's almost impossible and again, cuts a lot of storyline rp short from ever developing. You would have cops on the take but reality of it is, nobody pays cops who don't provide results too. In that sort of situation there is give and take. Right now, only take. That dynamic kills story line and just creates one scene to another. I don't want to sound critical cause I have a good time with the Police on a regular basis both IC and OOC, just pointing out a couple of opportunities for storyline rather than single scene.
