After Nadir announced some pretty big changes, including a new tagging and spray can system, we started on the path to assigning the new turf. Thanks folks for your patience, and your willingness to compromise; hopefully we can continue this trend of OOC cooperation to make sure gang life stays vibrant and the best it can be. On that note, the current list of turf is below. I'll be posting the list in each month's gang update thread, too, so that it can stay dynamic and respond to any changes. Additionally, these neighbourhoods and gang turfs would be things that Hathianites would know -- just like you know the neighbourhoods in your city in RL and, in the seedier parts, who's in control -- so feel free to make use of this information ICly once the gangs are established in their new turf. HOWEVER, to give the current gangs time to establish themselves in their new territories ICly, please do not play knowing that X turf belongs to X gang until at least March, unless there's ample IC evidence for it.

More changes will be coming down the pipeline, but here's how we're looking at gang interactions and leadership right now:

- Dynamic play: The admin role is one in which we facilitate making factions what you guys want and need them to be. I'm here, along with the rest of the admin team, as a person who can provide the tools and resources necessary to help your gang's story grow, and to keep faction presence (HPD and gangs) high across the CD universe and its stories. If there are things you think are restricting your ability to move forward, or to grow, please bring them to us- we can't make any promises, but we can't fix anything we don't know about either!

- Gang incubation: Gang creation and evolution is going to be expedited and made barrier-free as much as possible, but that 'guiding hand' isn't going to stop just because you've hit stage 2 or 3. If things slow down for your gang, or you've hit writer's block, knock on my door (specifically, because Peri and Blue have other doors getting knocked on!) and I'll be your DM (dungeon master) -- I'll throw a character, situation or environment at you that challenges your gang and spurs story creation. I'll also help find reasons for you to ally with another gang, or compete with them, if it's hard to find that organically in RP and you want it.

- Communication: As much as possible, we'll communicate with you guys before major changes. Emphasis on the 'possible' though! CD is a big community, with a lot of concerns and stakeholders that need their preferences and interests balanced, and for these reasons (and because of spoilers!), it's not always possible for the whole faction community to be consulted. Essentially though, we're members of a diverse team of storytellers, faction leads, business leads, and RPers, and it's the job of all of us to work together to make things fun, and communication is essential to making that work.

- Respect & Fairness: I'm still an HPD co-lead, but my admin role right now is to create balance and ensure the HPD and gangs are both working effectively. The HPD might retain its upperhand overall, but there will always be battles it loses ICly, and OOC interactions will be free from bias.
