GROUP NAME: Hell's Saints

MEMBERS: SunHi Mistwalker, Miho Oakleaf, Britta Lexington, Jonah Rain

BACKSTORY: Hell’s Saints: In The Beginning There Was Rage Hell’s Saints was created after SunHi Gavilan ((SunHi Mistwalker)) decided that she was tired of hiding, keeping her head down and getting shit on by some of the most powerful gang members and corrupt citizens in Hathian. It all began after her father and mother were brutally attacked by a Reject ((Rikshi)) when she was only 16 years old. She and her boyfriend Jin Kohime ((Jin Sunflower)) decided to strike out at the Rejects. They launched a plan to build an “army” of fighters so that they could kill the Rejects and free Hathian from the gang’s vise of terror. But their plans went terribly wrong. Enraged by the teenagers’ balls and audacity, the Rejects launched an all out war against Sun, her boyfriend and the rest of her family. Her mother was tortured, her unborn child mutilated and her boyfriend Jin kidnapped and “transformed” into monster. To this day Sun bears the carving on her stomach, “mind the rejects” as a constant reminder of what the wicked gang was capable of. More than a year had passed and Sun became slowly disillusioned with her mother’s gang, Cerberus. She felt that while she adored the tales of triumphant and justice dished out by the Cerbs in years gone by, the gang had grown weak and was unable and/or unwilling to do what it took to rid the city of the human filth that had taken up residence in every crook and cranny. But despite this, she tried to live a normal life. She turned down her mother’s offer of the Cerb colors. She told her mom she wanted to try to have a normal life. She enrolled in Columtreal University as a freshman with the intention of becoming a doctor. She tried to forget about her boyfriend Jin, she tried to forget about her father Tony ((Tony Gavilan, her adopted father and a cop who is currently missing and presumed dead)),she tried to move on; but then it happened. She was raped. Sun was raped by the monster created by the Rejects or what was once the rejects because by that time the wicked gang has disbanded; but their evil deeds still lingered. The poison they had injected into Sun’s life still lingered and ate her alive like a gangrene spreading to each part of her existence. After the rape, Sun’s life spiraled out of control, she became impregnated by a local doctor ((James Mattfield)) who was already expecting a child and who was at the time and is presumably still deeply involved in the lives the disbanded reject members. Unfortunately for Sun, the Rejects weren’t happy about her pregnancy and made it clear that they intended to “terminate” her pregnancy. Sun went into hiding in New Orleans for several months returning under the protection of Britta Lexington and Ryan ((jonah Rain)) who allowed her to hide in their Black Bottom home. A litany of friends, including Ebony Williams ((Miho Oakleaf)) and Charlie Davenport ((Lydia Hubbenfluff)) offered her money and well wishes while she hid; but it was not enough. Her anger grew and her outrage at the father of her children choosing rejects over her, her mother’s gang failing to protect her and the general cowardice of the Hathian citizenry in the face of reject terror. Even though the gang no longer officially existed people still quivered in the presence of Piper Rewell, Caris Winslet, Espi and the other rejects and this sickened Sun. She even began to hate the police and doctors as she saw them siding with the gangs while arresting the innocent ordinary citizens on trumped up charges. Even she was arrested by an old school chum ((Blake Klakov)) who charged her with assaulting her mother’s boyfriend Koda Viper. That was the last straw, she had had enough, she was no longer going to cower in fear, not just for her sake; but for the sake of her children and all of those people in Hathian whether they liked it or not. SunHi is joined by Ebony Williams ((Miho Oakleaf)), Britta Lexington and Ryan ((Jonah Rain)) in a quest to rid Hathian of its corrupt and evil forces, starting with those who target and harm those who are good in this city. Ebony, a childhood friend of Sun, grew up with her in Hathian and watched the city be terrorized by the Rejects and other gangs. She was even pushed out of her wheelchair when she was only 15 years old by Piper Rewell after she had surgery. The opportunity to form this gang to rid the city of this type of terror was seen as a blessing by Ebony. And Britta, has seen firsthand the wickedness of Hathian’s citizens and so-called city officials. Her plans to fight back have been simmering for a long time. Hell’s Saints was the perfect opportunity. Ryan, a long-time friend of Britta is along for the ride, prepared to offer his identity services to help fund the gang and help the “good” people in the city. The Purpose Of Hell’s Saints Hell’s Saints want to take on the filthy human beings in Hathian, not just disgusting former Rejects but anyone who they deem to be wicked and not worthy to walk the streets of Hathian. They consider themselves to be fair but not nice, this is hell after all. They have a code, that they believe others should live by, if they violate this code, they will be punished but only after they have a “trial” Hell’s Saints style. Hell’s Saints Code Of Conduct Hell’s Citizens shall not kill, torture, steal, lie or in any way molest or make life miserable for others in the city of Hathian. Any number of acts could make one fall afoul of Hells’ Saints code of conduct Of course this code of conduct is rarely completely followed by the Saints, but they are ruthlessly enforced by the Saints as they like and choose. Hell’s Saints Gang Rank From lowest to highest: Gatekeepers – All inactive members and affiliated members will have this title. They are not fighters but can help citizens and do good in the city of Hathian. Also, they may indirectly help the gang by providing information, give funding etc. Keruv Prospect - All new members who are active must start at the Keruv Prospect level. This is where they will need to rp out doing things for the gang if they want to gain any rank. They will only have so much time to prove their worth or risk being demoted to inactive status. Junior Keruv Guard – This level is gained by at least 30 days of active rp in the gang. Senior Keruv Guard – This level is gained by an additional 60 days of active rp in the gang. At this level the gang member can help identify “wrongdoers” but they are forbidden from taking direct action on their own. They are limited to surveillance. Seraphim Prospect – This level is gained by an additional 90 days of active rp in the gang. The Seraphim prospect gets to interrogate those accused of breaking the Saints code but they do not get to judge them or make the decision if they are guilty. Seraphim – All founding members hold this title. But other members must earn this title through rp and the departure of one of the founding member, either voluntarily or by force, (think coup de’ tat on this one). If a Seraphim Prospect has been rping cumulatively for 12 months real life time in the gang and one of the founding members departs, either voluntarily or by force the prospect could possibly force their way into this position. The Seraphim are responsible for identifying and judging those who are charged with violating the Saints’ code of conduct. The symbolism behind the ranks explained: Keruv Guard – the Hebrew word for Cherub. The Bible depicts Cherubim as powerful and majestic angelic creatures who surround God's throne (see Ezekiel l :5 - l 4; 28: l 2). They are also depicted on the Ark of the Covenant as its Guardians. God sent them to guard Eden after the expulsion of Adam and Eve: After He drove the man out, He placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life. (Genesis :24). SERAPHIM are the highest order of the Hierarchy of Angels. Hell’s Saints Funding Funding for this gang will come from extortion and the sale of fake identity (driver’s license, social security card, birth certificate etc. ) Hell’s Saints will be heavily involved in collecting negative information on the citizens in Hathian and then making them pay if they want to keep that information quiet. We will mostly target “upstanding” citizens for this money racket but under the guise of our “belief” that they are not upstanding at all but in fact hiding some wicked aspect of themselves.

UNIQUE: Hell’s Saints existence is rooted in Hathian’s gang history and in the various characters in Hathian. One of the gang’s founders, SunHi Gavilan ((SunHi Mistwalker)) is the daughter of a high ranking Cerb, Lake Gavilan ((Lake Ansar)) and her father Tony Gavilan ((Anthony Gavilan)) had recently quit the police force and joined the Cerbs before he disappeared. SunHi always dreamed of being a Cerb but then things went wrong and her passion for the Cerbs turned sour causing her to drift away and form her own gang. The gang, like the city is rife with complexity and hypocrisy. The gang is unique because they have a very strong revenge plot driving their story and there are no other gangs effectively using extortion and fake identity creation as their primary sources of income. The gang’s founders will not only seek revenge on their own behalf but on the behalf of others even if those “others” don’t want them to. While Hell’s Saints are similar to Cerberus in that they want to do “good” and rid the city of evil, they are different because of the following: 1. The Cerbs don’t believe in fighting unless necessary while Hell’s Saints believe in using violence on those whom they deem evil even if it’s not necessary. 2. The Cerbs once said they were going to be Switzerland “neutral” when the city was in the midst of a gang war, Hell’s Saints would never be neutral, they see the world as black and white, good and bad. 3. The Cerbs don’t engage in extortion, do drugs or engage in other vices. Hell’s Saints have no prohibitions on drug and alcohol use (or abuse) as long as you aren’t causing hell for others.

EXP: I have been rping SunHi Gavilan ((SunHi Mistwalker)) in Crack Den for nearly a year. In March 2011, it will be one year since I joined Crack Den. My rp has been consistent and fair and I’m involved with over 30 different players’ storylines on the sim. I’m known as a player who never engages in metagaming or powergaming and I always make sure that I take the time to rp a “supportive” role in other people’s storylines. I don’t need to always be the “star” in an rp. As a player in Crack Den, I make sure that I engage newcomers on a regular basis and help them when needed. I have guided people through the rp process giving tip when needed. Also, I play the following alts in the den in a supportive capacity: *Latisha Williams ((Ruth Hoxley)) – Seaside teacher *Ramie Gujjar ((Barrett Fang)) – Doctor Supportive characters are important in our roleplay community and I see them as a way of giving back to my fellow players. I think I will be a good leader in CD because I try to lead by example, keeping my rp high quality and avoiding all OOC drama. If there are OOC conflicts, I have the interpersonal and communication skills to resolve them amicably.

IDEAS: Below are a few new rp opportunities we will bring to CD: 1. The opportunity for “quiet” and “good” characters to be targeted by Hell’s Saints extortion racket. 2. The opportunity for new players to get involved when our gang members fabricate lies about them because they “believe” they are up to no good. 3. All players will be able to engage with Hell’s Saints and each other at various charitable functions designed to help the city’s kids, disabled, homeless etc. Also, OOCly we are open to rping with new players and helping them become more immersed in the overall story. We will assign “missions” and “quests” to gang members so that they will have something to do. For example, we might tell a member to rp stealing a file out of the suitcase of a particular police officer. They would have to prove (via logs) that it was rp’d out and even if they didn’t successfully complete the task but rp’d getting caught or something along those lines they would receive rewards such as moving up in the ranks of the gang.
