BACKSTORY: The Black Sand did not just start arbitrarily, but came about from the demise and end of the Ling-Chi in Hathian and the burning down of the Black Lotus, already running in Hathian during the Ling-Chi trial. The original Ling-Chi was a gang of asians who were banding together, or individuals affiliated with the asians in one form or another. The Black Sand Inc. is an extension of that gang - a collection of asian streetwise individuals all with common business interests, and common need for protection on the streets. In a town filled with hoods, gangs, thugs, muggers and rapists, the Black Sand Inc. Before th Ling-Chi fell into ruin, there were contacts made with the individuals within the gang to organizations back in Hong Kong and in Japan whereby there was underground trading going on. Namely, their main enterprise was knock-off goods, that being, fake rolex's, fake gucci hand bags, fake electronics, sneakers, just about anything that can be made cheaply and made to look like name brand goods, and sold on the street for big money, AS their counterfeited originals. There would also be a smaller drug ring with the associates from Japan and China as the suppliers of high grade Heroin, and on the side, being done by the gang themselves, the growing and distributing of Magic Mushrooms. But their main big money would be done via their knock off goods, and eventually counterfeit bills, mint coins etc. The gang is a necessary means to an end, brought together by a group of dynamic individuals all who want their cake and want to eat it too.

UNIQUE: What makes it unique is it's strictly business perspective. Most asian gangs are not about territory as much as they are about the profits they gain on the streets. They would be able to strike deals with other gangs, and with officials, or store keepers who need stock and need it fast. They would be the 'go to' guys for just about anything someone needed, be it an iphone [ knock off of course but they wouldn't know it] cheap, cigarettes, Nike sneakers, knock off xbox 360's, you name it, they'd have it.

EXP:I've spent approximately a year in CD working as a Medical Doctor, and as the only Medical Examiner, and have done over 42 separate rp's with the deceased avatars, as well as being the 2nd in command of the Ling-Chi group that was in trial during the Reapers trial, my character has many connections to the Reapers, and has also rp'd with the Rejects to get some 'jobs' done. I've also spent some time working with the mods, namely Peri and Espi on how to conduct myself in the CD community with the mods in particular and feel I am ready to take my characters evolution to this new plateau. Not to mention the support and backing of the other's that contributed to the making of the first attempt with the Ling-Chi under another's leadership. Myself and my group, I don't do this alone, also have all had experience in the sim with rp, some of our members are quite skilled, including Inara Indigo, who currently runs and maintains the Shen Gallery of Fine Art, and Ryotarou, who currently works for the HPD and has had several promotions proving his abilities in the group. Yasu Xaris has also showed diversity in her rp, allowing her character to take more hits than some would think necessary, proving her to be a fair and fun person to rp with.

IDEAS:Namely asian events, which we've already displayed we are willing to do, most recently the Dragon Boat Festival held last month was put on by myself with the help of Inara Indigo, which was a great success. Other events would be asian type festivals to draw in possible gang members that are also asian or wish affiliation with asian gangs [ I will not prejudice against anyone who shows true determination in rp.] AS well, the pushing of our products could have us holding underground sales and back alley trades and eventually, even a possible shop where we sell our knock off items. Though that is in the future. I am open to any other ideas that would surface within our group, again, we don't want to step on toes with the other gangs and their 'thing', so we will not be going big with drugs, nor big with retributions, unless we're crossed, and turf wars, though not common with asian type gangs, can and will occur if their area is threatened, which of course, always brings good rp.

OTHER:The Ling-Chi would have been a great fit, had there not been limited access to our leader during trial. My character, Takahiro, is also a former Yakuza gang leader from Kobe in his background, and has had the leadership experience during the Ling-Chi trial, since while the leader was away, Takahiro was their leader. He is a thinker who only acts after convening with his comrades, after all, it's about the money, and the asian pride, not about vengeance. Lessons will be taught by the Black Sand for those that would cross them, however, their approach to things would be much different than the usual [that being carving into chests, beatings and rapes.] It would be more like, destroying someone's livelihood, or buying out their loyalties, shit like that.
