Detective Nikki Derryth was the embodiment of darkness within the precinct. With her striking features and piercing gaze, she instilled fear in both criminals and fellow officers alike. Nikki was not just a detective; she was a force to be reckoned with, and her methods were as ruthless as they were effective.

From the outside, Nikki seemed like a dedicated officer, committed to bringing criminals to justice. Her record boasted an impressive number of closed cases, and her superiors admired her tenacity. However, beneath the surface, Nikki harbored a malevolent thirst for power and control.

Her corruption went beyond mere financial gain; Nikki reveled in the manipulation of others and the thrill of bending the law to suit her desires. She had an uncanny ability to orchestrate crime scenes, framing innocent people to serve her own twisted sense of justice. Colleagues who questioned her methods mysteriously found themselves transferred or discredited, victims of Nikki’s cunning schemes.

One day, a high-profile murder case landed on Nikki’s desk. The victim was a wealthy philanthropist with connections that reached into the highest echelons of society. The pressure to solve the case was immense, and Nikki saw it as an opportunity to further solidify her influence.

As she delved into the investigation, Nikki fabricated evidence, manipulated witnesses, and coerced confessions from innocent suspects. Her malevolent intent was not to solve the case but to use it as a means to exert control over those in power. The more chaos she sowed, the more she could manipulate the narrative to her advantage.

However, her insidious plans attracted the attention of a seasoned journalist, Emily Hayes, who had a knack for uncovering the truth. Emily began digging into Nikki’s past cases, connecting the dots between the detective and the trail of ruined lives left in her wake. Nikki, aware that her dark secrets were at risk of exposure, decided to turn the tables on Emily.

In a chilling game of cat and mouse, Nikki manipulated the journalist, feeding her false leads and steering her away from the truth. Emily, unknowingly ensnared in Nikki’s web of deception, found herself on a dangerous path where every step seemed to lead deeper into the darkness.

As the twisted narrative unfolded, Nikki’s malevolent influence continued to spread within the precinct. With each misstep, Emily came closer to becoming another casualty in Nikki’s relentless pursuit of control. The story reached its climax when Emily, on the verge of unveiling Nikki’s true nature, discovered that the very detective she was investigating was pulling the strings all along.

It was shortly after this, that the journalist turned up dead.

With her dealings secure, she decided to put in for a transfer to the worst command possible.

Backwaters.
