julius-highfieldsaidSo, Given the state of affairs with the current simwide, that being the PD is being investigated, I would like to propose an evolution of the idea which would simultaneously create opportunities for RP while reinforcing the theme of a believable corrupt PD, and that Hathian is actually in Louisiana, in the United States...and not some post-apocalyptic wasteland: State Patrol. Envision that an invitation for people to play state cops for a limited time in the sim, who already have the Armed Citizen title. These people would be instated as the official law enforcement of Hathian while the investigation into the Chief's activities were ongoing. The Staties would be a plot device to improve immersion with this concept, while creating conflict between jurisdictions inside HPD. "A corrupt State Sergeant and a corrupt HPD Lieutenant get into an argument over who ate the last donut." "A straight-laced State LT and a HPD Patrolman fight over interrogation methods in the jail cells." And of course, there would be citizens with opinions of both sides. Whether the new cops were better, or the old ones were. Everyone gets their RP turnarounds, and Hathian gets to keep its "corrupt" lawmen. Julius |
