Veiled Visions

TYPE: Tarot Shop

BACKGROUND: With the new building, Veiled Visions is now more than just fortune telling. It has grown into a mysterious and atmospheric shop. The shop will offer services that tap into the realms of symbolism, intuition and ancient practices such as tarot readings, spiritual guidance, personal charms, spells, potions, and cultural mysticism. My intention is to keep the shop unaffiliated but more than willing to work with the locals to move their products through the place. Events would include card and bone readings, custom charm making, herbal remedies and rituals. customized gris gris, business or personal cleansings or blessings Employees would be welcomed OOC with a dm and if they wanted an IC interview would be set up. Training/practice would be provided for any that wanted to learn how to make any of the items that are sold or how to do the readings. Those with a background in these areas would be encouraged to help others as well as promote themselves and the shop around town. My character has a long history in the occult and voodoo. She believes in all forms of magic. I believe, with her background, she would be a great manager for Veiled Visions.It is who she is.

 

UNIQUE: Veiled Visions is the only shop like it in Laveau. We have services that no other business on sim offers. The shop is part of the very culture and heartbeat of the area. I want to expand and bring the voodoo/magic out into the town more openly and make it an everyday part of living in Laveau.

 

EXPERIENCE: I have been on rp'ing in SL for over a decade and irl longer. I've been in and out of CD almost just as long, though new to Laveau. Through my years on various sims I have been business lead, mentor, admin and co owner. I get along well with people. I work from home and have the time to commit to the role.

 

IDEAS: I want the employees to have a voice, the more ideas the better. I would encourage them to have fun with it, create their own spells and herbal remedies. With the nature of the shop there will always be the need for local plants, dirt or things in the cemetery as well as items belonging to an individual should someone request a hex be made.

 

OTHER: With Halloween approaching that would be the perfect time. Several things come to mind, a costumed block party in front of the shop with the events including a seance of secrets of whispers in the dark fortune telling to name a few.
