Gumbo Gas

BACKGROUND: Sydney is a car buff, and other than her art, working on cars, classic cars in particular are what she likes to do best. Since the Gumbo Gas already has ties to the darker side of the community, the seedy side of the garage would be used as a Chop Shop by the different gangs in the area to make cash and dispose of evidence that may be to hard to get rid of in other means. We would also offer a discreet courier service that would pick up people or drop off people/ goods with no questions asked as long as the fee is paid. This would bring in interactions with everyone. Event ideas could possibly be regular classic car shows every few months where people can bring their restored cars to show them off, meet with others of like minded interests, have some good food and listen to music while enjoying what they all like together. New Employees would be included from things like helping to break down the cars that came in that needed to be gotten rid of. Working on cars that came in, and as they are more trusted, helping with the pick up and deliveries aspect. Sydney has a love of cars, and fixing them, and so this would be a place she would feel comfortable and be willing to spend a great deal of time. She would make sure that those in her employ knew not to bring attention to themselves and would have her watching their back on things.

 

UNIQUE: As stated above this would end up being a Chop Shop for the various gangs to bring cars that they need to get rid of, and make moneyfrom it. As far as I am aware, there is no other place like this in Laveau.

 

EXPERIENCE: I have been roleplaying for over 20 years. I started out role playing on AOL in chatrooms back in the days when you had to murder a robot just to get online. I roleplayed for years there before coming to Secondlife in 2007 and have been in secondlife for the last 17 years, role playing in various places on and off. I have also worked customer service since i was 16 years old in one form or another, So i know how to handle that aspect of things, and how to deal with customers.

 

IDEAS: New players signing up to be apart of the business would have an RP with Sydney to be hired, or if they signed up while i'm offline, I'd contact them after so that they could meet. Syd would want to know everyone working for her, so as to get to know them and know she could trust them. New players would always be welcome to walk up and engage at any time and If I see new players I would make sure it was known that I welcome play if i'm there.

 

OTHER: The grand opening event would be a bigger scale of what the regular events would be. A massive Classic car show. I would try and coordinate with Freddys and Barra's for example to provide food and drink for the event. THere would be a live DJ, and a huge party.
