bluebell noelsaidThe Proposal/Feedback Phase is an important part of faction development and approval, so please read this over and ask questions, express what you like, give suggestions you have, advice on what may or may not work based on your experience, etc. Keep in mind that admins do not necessarily need to be convinced to approve it, as a faction without potential wouldn't even be posted. Feedback means both support and giving what you see could help shape their faction story and place in the community! Blood Butterflies MEMBERS: MissNoah Littlepaws, Lyralore resident BACKGROUND: The Blood Butterflies is an all-female gang determined to re-establish its presence and influence in Laveau. Starting small, the group focuses on rebuilding its networks by collaborating with local businesses and factions around town. While their operations are modest for now, their ambition is to grow into one of the most formidable groups in the region. Rusty Browns Donuts serves as their front for discreet dealings and smuggling, while Flamingos Club acts as their social hub and a source of intel. The gang draws inspiration from Erzulie, the Voodoo goddess of love, beauty, motherhood, and water. Erzulie’s duality, as both the nurturing protector and the fierce avenger, resonates deeply with the Blood Butterflies. On the surface, the gang appears alluring and elegant, but beneath this charm lies a dangerous and fiercely protective nature. The symbolism of butterflies further strengthens their identity, representing transformation, communication with spirits, and change. In voodoo, butterflies are often seen as messengers of death and agents of transformation, aligning with the gang’s role as keepers of secrets and harbingers of change in the underworld. Using charm, cunning, and a strong sisterhood, the Blood Butterflies aim to weave themselves back into the fabric of Laveau’s dark underworld. UNIQUE: The Blood Butterflies operate out of Rusty Browns Donuts, a busy establishment perfect for covert exchanges and store stolen goods, and Flamingos Club, which offers a venue for laundering money and meeting potential allies. Their primary trade revolves around small-scale thefts, focusing on building their skills and resources while planning for larger-scale heists in the future. Drug deals, facilitated through their connections with Salopri and the Yengs, serve as a secondary income source. The gang also profits from facilitating nightlife transactions and offering protection services to local establishments. FLAW: Their insistence on remaining an all-female gang limits their ability to expand and form alliances, leaving them vulnerable to groups with broader networks and manpower. POTENTIAL ENEMY: The Blood Butterflies are eager to collaborate with key factions in Laveau, such as Salopri and The Bowies. Their ongoing drug deals with Empire Tattoo studio and the Midnight Mandarin have been cornerstone of Eliany’s income at Rusty Browns, and we are keen to deepen these relationships. Additionally, the gang is interested in working with the girls at the Serpent’s Den, seeing them as potential allies in building a stronger female presence in the local criminal underworld. Potential collaborations could be stablished with the Hidden relic, Darkwire cafe, Lady Luck Casino or The Wicked Studio. Potential enemies include any factions looking to disrupt their operations, as well as individuals who underestimate or disrespect their all-female nature. EXPERIENCE:I was second in command of the Conejo faction back in 2023, and I’ve also been the lead at Rusty Browns Donuts for almost a year. I believe I bring a fun and cheerful atmosphere to my stories and enjoy participating in sim-wide events and collaborating with others. Outside of CrackDen, I’ve co-led a RP group in another online community for over 10 years. I bring solid RP storylines and interconnected characters, offering a wide spectrum of possibilities. While I enjoy chill and relaxed RP, I’m also drawn to dark RP and angst scenarios, with a particular preference for mental torture, manipulation, and corruption themes. IDEAS:I plan to maintain the same approach I’ve had while working at Rusty Browns. I enjoy creating short stories that everyone can take part in. For example, I’ve used mini-quests for my workers before, which turned into really fun scenes around town, such as the rat plague at the donut shop after Hurricane Blanche. It brought a lot of people together to help Eliany. Additionally, we created a desserts menu for The Midnight Mandarin, which encouraged creativity among my workers. I also organized a Monster Cake Contest that brought many people in town together for a couple of hours to enjoy a fun and engaging atmosphere. Rusty Browns has always been a spot for sharing information and gossip, and I plan to continue that tradition. Smuggling gives me a wide range of opportunities to involve new players, such as becoming street thieves or participating in larger-scale robberies across Backwaters. Both Ava and I are social and welcoming people. We don’t intend to be secretive or elusive, quite the opposite. |
