GROUP NAME: Hathian Motors

BACKSTORY: Hathian Motors is a long running establishment in the Crack Den. Its been the site of numerous vehicle/motor and other roleplays over several years in the den. The garage was originally created by a man who is known to be the Owner by current management, but hasn't been seen there in years. Since then its been under the run of various owners - Nich Shilova, Alfie Donardson and most recently upon Alfie leaving the country Eve O'Shea (Evelynn Jacobus). The purpose of Hathian Motors is simple--repair, upkeep, modification,etc. of the various vehicles on the sim. This includes but is not limited to cars, trucks, police vehicles, FDH trucks, ambulances, motorcycles and whatever else players want to NPC or actually own in the den. (We operate under some NPC work so as to aid in lag and allow for players without vehicle permits to participate).

UNIQUE: Over the years there have been various garages in the area (including Vodou and Black Bottom most recently). Hathian Motors is maintained by dedicated staff and a longstanding history of management and the active players who work the garage. Most recently its been an active place for college students to apply as an aid for their finances in tuition and Eve encourages younger workers for that purpose. Teenagers have also been known to apply for short part time work sweeping shop and cleaning up messes left behind.

EXP: I, Evelynn Jacobus have been an IC manager at the garage for several months now. Eve had been an assistant manager for some time before that and had been in charge of hiring and maintaining staff. OOCly, I've been the go to person for the garage roleplay when it comes to any and all players who want to apply, want to be assigned IC work, and have addressed issues with robberies of the garage, and even an extra special situation where a bomb was being housed there for several weeks. I have been an underboss in a gang and have also spent time in various other roles at the hospital, daily grind, and a few other places. I have experience not only being a leader but a follower as well. That's what makes me aware of what needs to be done and how to handle the other players in groups with respect. I've OOCly encouraged storylines at the garage, assisted players in getting tuition help through CU, and generally try to maintain an active presence in the sims.

IDEAS: If I was given active leadership of the garage, I'd do my best to promote new workers roleplay, hiring roleplay to accompany the online application and have goals to encourage more connections between the CU and Seaside RP and the Hathian RP with the students involvement. Its also become obvious to me over the years that the police and emergency vehicles are often vandalized and Eve would try to renew a partnership with those organizations to maintain their vehicles encouraging not only the roleplay of PD and FD but criminals as well. The garage has always been an active place for criminals, but has remained fairly neutral as far as gang 'turf'. I'd be open to that changing based on the sim 'turf' rules and though Eve would no doubt argue it IC, I'd be happy to encourage interesting roleplay with that issue. I'd like to encourage, as well, roleplay by posting an ad in the paper and writing in the forums which generally I'd left up to official managers to do in the past and stuck to the IC. Also in the past, the garage was located on the north shore road, which if it is rebuilt, it may or may not be, but I'd always thought it would be interesting to have a 'guild' of sort of the businesses in the less active areas like the north shore road held (at the time that would have been Poison Apple, the Head Shop, The Diner, The Garage) and worked together with them to start IC and OOC encouraging various customers of the different locales to travel to the other places in their area. Coupons, events, etc would be possible!

OTHER: Well mostly I just hope that the garage is rebuilt at this point. I'd be happy to take a secondary role with it, but Eve will always want to be a part of it there. It's been an active place over the years and the group that we currently have set up "CD Hathian Motors" has 38 members, several of which have come to me during the rebuild to ask about the status of the garage and express their interest in working should it be rebuilt. Though with the destruction, things may not return the same, I think Hathian Motors has the history that makes it a comforting landmark for RP but still has the ability to draw in new players and encourage great things.
