GROUP NAME: Starlust Motel

TYPE: Official Business

BACKGROUND: The new premise for the motel would begin with fliers mysteriously popping up in Hathian advertising the Starlust Motel under new management as a safe haven for women in Laveau and Hathian. It's far enough away from the city for these women to disappear from their abusive partners while they try to establish a new life for themselves. Free rooms would be offered as long as you're working at the motel, along with a promise of anonymity. A fresh, clean start. Unbeknown to the women however, would be that they were actually being drawn in as fodder for bw's sex trafficking industries, or to feed the appetites of the town's more deviant residents. This would provide a new venue and opportunity for cross sim roleplay by allowing Hathian residents to begin to build stories in Back Waters. Prospective employees would have an IC interview with my character, particularly to grant a full understanding that I do not wish to simply have names on the roster or in the group, but residents who will devote at least some time per week to the business. It will be ran ICly just like a business, including some tasks that need to be performed as well has having a regular 'pay day' for staff and I would more than likely hold some staff only parties or events as a moral booster. With the space the motel occupies, there could be a number of events ranging from fight nights, food and clothing drives, charity benefits for domestic abuse survivors. There could be block parties and IC movie nights in the parking lot. I would also offer up rooms for those too impaired to drive after other business events in the area. I also think there is a lot of opportunity for holiday themed events, such as speed dating or a toy drive at Christmas, costume party at Halloween or even setting up a street fair for Brewfest.

UNIQUE: My hope is to facilitate cross sim RP with this business and by doing so hopefully enrich bw with more stories and plot lines, as well as more faces. I would like to make sure there is generally someone around for RP purposes, such as check in's and check outs. To facilitate operating as a hotel.

EXPERIENCE: I have worked in Second Life at Dream Seeker Estates for the last 10+ years. I believe that shows that once I commit to a project, or a roleplay that I do fully commit and hold longevity. In my Real Life. I am an assistant store manager for a retail store, so I am very good at multi tasking and personable. This has transferred a bit into my character, as Calli is very friendly and a nurturer by nature. So this type of out reach program would be an ideal thing for her. Though like everyone in BW she does also have a dark side that lingers just beyond the surface.

IDEAS: I would personally welcome any staff that signed up both ICly and OOCly as well as roleplay wit anyone and every one regardless of if they are long term characters or new. ICly I would do what I could to help new characters establish themselves in BW, while answering any IC or OOC questions they may have regarding BW or Roleplay if they are new to RP.

OTHER: For a grand re-opening event, I would like to do a fight night sponsored by the Motel, with the winner getting bragging rights. We would provide food and drink, betting stations and I would reach out to local businesses as well to see if they wanted to put out a booth and join in on the fun. I would also reach out to the clinic to see if they would like to spare a nurse or such for medical services, that way we can include many different acts of Roleplay in one setting. I don't want to just do a large party, I want something that would bring in many different types of roleplayers.
