Alexandra MelunesaidPlease give your feedback and suggestions for this business proposal (in a constructive manner!) for this proposer to review, respond to, and take into account should they go forward as the Lead! For more information on how proposals work: http://thecrackden.com/discuss/topic/group-and-business-proposals/ Backwater: Barracuda Bar TYPE: Official SLURL: Laveau BACKGROUND: As a leader of Barracudas, I'd look forward to creating story-lines with all of the community members and community leaders alike. I want to be able to run this business in a way that it is able to see a lot of traffic from an assortment of different characters with different backgrounds in an attempt to create better, more-involved stories within the community that slowly brings everyone together. I personally think a fun event for the grand opening of the few new estblishments that serve liquor would be a public pub crawl. Have each bar reduce prices on a few drinks to welcome people inside, then send them down to the next local bar. That way everyone can get an idea of what they're all about and decide which they might like to consider their local watering hole? I'd also like to perhaps try a night where we make room on the stage for a microphone so that we can try and fit in a live singer/stand-up comedian for a night of laughs. As management of Barracudas, i'd do my best to make sure that i'm on sim frequently, and when I am that i'm roleplaying at my business. On top of that, my character is an outlaw that I want to have start creating moonshine at his personal home in the swamp. I'd like to try my hand at selling it straight from the bar, and if i'm able to do that successfully on the side, this would introduce new potential storylines for employee's who work there as they'll either hear about it, become involved, or maybe even report their Boss to the local police department. Cross would be a good fit for management in my opinion because he brings money to the table which he can use to help get the bars name out there. It would also fit the background of my character rather well because he's an outlaw biker with a relatively nasty drinking habit. UNIQUE: With Barracudas, I honestly feel like the location and the atomosphere alone will make it stand out from the other bars and clubs. With it being located directly on the pier, I would like to maybe even thinking about introducing some roleplay that has their liquor shipments come in from overseas, or at least arrive by ship/boat every once in a while, which will get employee's out of the bar itself and outside to enjoy some beautiful fresh air while replenishing the bar's stocks. This would also allow me to personally develop my character by potentially importing liquor and exporting it at the same time. Also with the pier there - maybe have a weekly food market, where people can come out on weekends to browse locally produced fruits/vegetables and view a selection of locally caught fish? Maybe a night once in a blue moon for a 'Rock the Dock' type of thing where we get a local band/singer to play and allow people to setup personal market stalls where they can sell their company products, advertise their businesses, and allow people to sell some of their used, personal junk? Almost like a flea-market type of thing? EXPERIENCE:Personal qualities? I'm a very understanding man. I definitely know the difference between IC and OOC, so know not to take anything that happens on an IC level to heart. With that being said, I will be welcoming all sorts of negative roleplay, in the sense that people can use my establishment as a place to rob, smash up, etc as long as it builds some interesting story for a large group of people that are actively looking to create stories for the sim. Also, maybe not totally related, but in RL I work as a trucker, so I work a schedule of one day on/one day off + weekends, so it should leave me available a good portion of the week to be interacting with customers and staff alike. IDEAS:As previously mentioned, Cross is very much a criminal outlaw. Currently selling off pounds of weed at a time, working on beginning to distill his own moonshine, and not afraid to get his hands dirty when necessary, or if the price is right. That being said - there should be plenty of opportunities for new players to get themselves involved with the business in one way or another. Either as a local meet for the purchasing of said illegal goods, the attempt to confiscate said illegal goods, or just as a place to work where the atmoshphere is more laid-back in comparison to other work places. Also, there will be an attempt made for sure to host an event at least bi-weekly, which will hopefully bring in new customers and bring people together. OTHER:This was technically already answered in my original response, and would love to get in touch with the other bar/club leads to further discuss the idea to see if they have anything to add to the original thought! Obviously some reduced prices would be available for the grand-opening event, perhaps with a late night staff party to follow for those who bust their asses during the event! |
