This is a subject I have been thinking about lately and I want to make sure everyone understands that I'm only talking about myself this is no way anything about others roleplay. Having been part of the community for a lil while now I know we have the best roleplayers in Sl period. Hell I go to other sims and I can tell who is from CD alot of times even when there on alts. And I don't think my own rp totally sucks balls but I do know there are some bad habits I have fallen into that I want to get out of and I think could bring more depth to my character.

Thought insulting. We all pretty much know that to insult an enemy in thought is some of the worst form. If they cant respond to my critisism or beleifs about them it really doesn't need to be expressed in a thought. If I send a dirty look to show my disdain well thats fine and well but to think to someone what a douchebag that person is or a fag or whatever is just bad bad roleplay and I am pretty sure I don't do it. What I do do on occasion is the same thing to my closest friends. Its fucking around and they may or may not respond in kind but what I have been thinking lately is that this does a couple things in kind. One it seems to say to newer roleplayers that hey this is ok . How does a newcomer to CD know that I'm partnered to Tre and really don't beleive she is a whore. They don't and I've just set the tone. Second of all it may create an old boy network amongst roleplayers who know each other. Newcomers might get that were fucking around with each other but feel that if were that tight there is no place for them to push in. I am definitely not saying thats what any of us want but for myself when you go to a new place and see a whole bunch of people just goofing I'm not going to crack but am more likely to just leave the group to do there thing. Anyhow, this is just for me and its just one thing that I have been thinking of but I am going to work on it with the hope that my own roleplay improves making my characters a little more focused. I hope no one takes it as a slight or thinks I'm in a shiddy mood or some shit and if you see me doing this send me a IM reminder I would appreciate it.

Also the conversation I was hoping to spurn with this thread was other ways to make roleplay tighter on sim and while no you don't have to sit down and write a thesis opening up to constructive criticism or others peoples thoughts on there own roleplay. What works well or what might be worked on for change. [Oh cept if it has to do with spelling and or punctuation that is non negotiable as I am morally against the proper use of both]
