Lucas and Ain both have done good job, both have been really easy to get a hold of and work with – and I am happy to see Hoppers are doing well as faction. The aggressive marketing around Gein has been hilarious. :p
Nothing to inquire or suggest from me, especially given this isn’t Ain’s first rodeo.
More to come, I’m sure.

I have locked this thread until I personally look into the issue at hand. Stay tuned, folks.
After waking up fully. I am going to close this thread. I assure you we are taking this debate seriously, and will talk about it in the admin group. I will also make sure that gun etiquette will be a key topic in the workshops. I also highly recommend to let controversial scenes go when they were mediated. We are not flawless, but we always put a…[Read more]

As for courtesy for events – it is not a hard rule, but yes, it is expected to let an event happen or to ask if interruption is okay. But there is no hard rule when or how that has to happen. It can be totally acceptable to walk up with an idea and to ask the organizers. It also can be acceptable to let conflict develop organically within the…[Read more]
Okay. This needs to stop now. What I take away from this – except for people unnecessarily fighting over a scene that has been mediated, and all that publicly which never is a good idea – is that “giving consent” can have different meanings. It was not PLANNED that this scene turned into a shoot out. Of course the scene itself was planned, and…[Read more]

Then I was malinformed and apologize. That should have been double checked.
This is not true. Applications for gun permits are still needed and manually approved (or actually quite often denied). If that was different for you.. you might have bribed an admin! π

Constructive communication is indeed valuable. What is not as helpful is harping on one specific scene that already has been reviewed. Yes, it’s important to look at the root problem when people are unhappy. But from my experience it is rarely the rules when this kind of issue arises, it s often an underlying OOC problem, which we indeed will…[Read more]
I’ve known Kaid for years. The guy has always been fair IC and OOC, and I look forward to the life he’ll bring to the theater. He’s a great choice to lead this endeavor! If ya need some security, hit me up 😉.
There is small issues with this as well, as some players that are trigger happy have a tendency to impose their opinions OOC on how you should RP a gun encounter. I’ve seen a lot of power-gaming when guns come out. Statements like: “Shoots for center mass, impossible to miss.” or something to that effect.
Even so, if you do manage to avoid…[Read more]
I think a simple resolution for this is “Don’t draw your gun as the first action upon entering a scene.” because that is not fun for anyone but the person holding the gun. There’s no RP to it, and it immediately quells any other RP that may have been happening as if you’re reacting as any sane person would facing down the barrel of a gun, you’re…[Read more]
