I’ll just say that I welcome any new sport on the campus (and love B-ball as my alt is former CU basketball player), though I will just recommend that if you want to run games, might as well aim for the 3×3 basketball variation, otherwise it is near impossible to replicate a sport that would have 5 players on each side in any consistent manner.

Just to add another player’s perspective: I for one as a foreign player to US laws playing a Louisiana native character really love that I can use Louisiana laws as a frame of reference and give me some ‘local lore’ with something as easy as internet search. Real laws and real world are something that defines the universe for me.

Individual sports is what we need, simply said. This creates a counterweight to team sports which in a good spirit can not be played by players vs players fashion and they have a role of background enrichment and something bringing people together across the regions.
