As for courtesy for events – it is not a hard rule, but yes, it is expected to let an event happen or to ask if interruption is okay. But there is no hard rule when or how that has to happen. Then I was malinformed and apologize. That should have been double checked.
This is not true. Applications for gun permits are still needed and manually approved (or actually quite often denied). If that was different for you.. you might have bribed an admin!

Constructive communication is indeed valuable. What is not as helpful is harping on one specific scene that already has been reviewed. Yes, it’s important to look at the root problem when people are unhappy.
