Unlikely, because then it would give the appearance of it being required to be used. There are plenty of dice rolling options out there if someone wants to use that.

Welcome to Hathian.
hey, the rentals you find hereΒ Rentals
are official, other than those are private and connected with the HUD π
I would also point out that the Hathian and Backwaters areas are not really….conducive to fine dining xD
But there are places that aren’t fast food!
After waking up fully. I am going to close this thread. I assure you we are taking this debate seriously, and will talk about it in the admin group. I will also make sure that gun etiquette will be a key topic in the workshops. I also highly recommend to let controversial scenes go when they were mediated. We are not flawless, but we always put a…[Read more]

As for courtesy for events – it is not a hard rule, but yes, it is expected to let an event happen or to ask if interruption is okay. But there is no hard rule when or how that has to happen. It can be totally acceptable to walk up with an idea and to ask the organizers. It also can be acceptable to let conflict develop organically within the…[Read more]
Okay. This needs to stop now. What I take away from this – except for people unnecessarily fighting over a scene that has been mediated, and all that publicly which never is a good idea – is that “giving consent” can have different meanings. It was not PLANNED that this scene turned into a shoot out. Of course the scene itself was planned, and…[Read more]

Then I was malinformed and apologize. That should have been double checked.
This is not true. Applications for gun permits are still needed and manually approved (or actually quite often denied). If that was different for you.. you might have bribed an admin! π

Constructive communication is indeed valuable. What is not as helpful is harping on one specific scene that already has been reviewed. Yes, it’s important to look at the root problem when people are unhappy. But from my experience it is rarely the rules when this kind of issue arises, it s often an underlying OOC problem, which we indeed will…[Read more]
closed – and it’s approved anyway π
I would say it totally depends on the situation. When I get attacked by someone who is insane/dangerous/scary, and I am an otherwise non-combative character who probably would lose a fistfight, yes, it can be okay to draw a gun. An armed robbery that is correctly emoted and leaves an unarmed employee enough room to not get shot – that would be…[Read more]

Admins are aware of the criminal components of this proposal. Hoppers have grown organically into a gang-like family, they were visible on the streets, attacked people together etc. This is a private business with profit as main goal, and it’s in it’s early stages with a lot of ideas that might play out or not. We will address possible issues…[Read more]
Hmm, since I don’t know many of those scenes, it is hard to judge the motives of the people you were RPing with. I don’t really like blanket statements like “they all want to dictate the outcomes, they all want to win.”
The armed scenes I have witnessed lately weren’t like that. Yes, some people are more trigger happy than others. But also, some…[Read more]
