Many times when someone is bumped to "Lincoln" Status or Above that it gives us the ability to do more. This is not the case. You are a Officer the minute you join the PD. While it expected thru IC Experience that Rookie or "OCEAN" will not know procedure inside and out, will make hesitation move's and still be learning the ropes.

This is Where the "EXPERIENCED" Officer comes into play.

A Officer given the Call sign of Lincoln is in some degree a Versed officer. They have spent time learning Regs (Regulations IE HPC/Radio comms), Have done several Incident, Arrest, and Statement reports, and has even taken the reigns of a call. While not considered a ranked officer in whatever division, we look at depictions of well versed officers who are prominent members of there organization, but do not have standing other than Patrolman.

This means a "Lincoln" Status Officer is IC more Experienced than a "OCEAN" Status officer. Lincoln's are encouraged to be pillars in the PD teaching OCEAN the ropes IC and even answering questions OOC. A group develops better when its members with experience share it to others. We see alot of members come into the HPD and get overwhelmed by the demand of officers for the communtys RP.

And Yes there is a demand. Make no mistake. HPD is one of the most Active RPs in the server. HPD makes the folks who want to explore the Deviant,Criminal, Psycho or even Anarchist (Which all these personas exsist in the extreme is Hathian) Plausible and in Check. When the HPD is in Excess and around, you will be asked OOC or thru Community broadcast to assist in futhering RP. On your Off duty time IC being HPD is a double edge sword. People in this community want us to be the very best at what we do, and we need to give them the expectation.

With this above mentioned, it is dependent on the HPD to improve both the IC development of its Officers and the OOC understanding of this intricate group for its players. We do this by tapping into the "Senior" Officer (SO).

While the captain had recently changed the tag of SO to Corporal the postion remains the same. To assist the Divisional Seargants with Training and Development of its Officers, particularly of Lincoln and OCEAN designations. Some interpet for IC Chain of Command, which IC it is rightly so. OOC it truly a mentors postion. A good SO when they arrive on Scene will encourage there younger officers to do certain task, or even make there officers take charge. The SO will act as a overseer of sort making sure the Officers are infact following Regs and procedures. While the SO may take Charge as the scene requires, the SO will relequish the reigns back to them.

This is not a means to say the SO does not partake in the RP, this simply means the SOis a support role IC and OOC when they arrive on a call that they are the Ranking officer, Making sure the other officers respect Post order, dont interupt private scenes, and are Taking hits.

While this description applys to the SO Tag, this is something I want Lincoln designated officer and even OCEAN designated officer to contemplate as they progress. Experience and who is the most capable for doing is more important then a Tag. If your patroling with a OCEAN designated officer, make sure they feel apart of the scene, Let them have FUN to. Remember what it was like when you had a more experience player show up and you were playing backseat to the scene then.

What that mean to us who are Considered Senior Officers and above? Not sit at station all the time. We are suppose to be encouraging you to patrol, get reports into station. Simple truth is, More Crime reported and found, more the HPD and Community has to do. It is our DUTY to you the HPD player to keep you busy and active.

Once again, this post is not endorsed by the Captain or the HPD COC. This is something I thru together for contemplation of the HPD player.
