Being a huge department, with so many writers in so many different time zones, it’s hard to catch fellow officers for more silly sort of day to day scenes that would normally unfold in a police station the size of the HPD. Often enough, when online with others, a call or inmates will take over, leaving little time to build up some camaraderie. Well, this thread is here to help with that!
The aim of this thread is to use it to post IC happenings that, while interesting and fun, might not justify sending in a group notice to the whole group.
Some examples of what those could be:
- Planning a HPD hangout after work and don’t want to abuse group notices for that? Pin it on the corkboard in the bullpen IC and make a post on this thread of the message people could read!
- Want to have a silly string of PD wide mails with officers shooting the shit at each other but don’t want to flood everyone with notecards? Use the thread for that back and forth!
- Got pictures from a really funny arrest where your partner and you cuffed a drunk Santa? Leave it on the front desk IC and make a post on the thread with it!
Some ground rules:
- Obviously, only officers at the HPD can see those IC
- Only officers can post on this thread
