The HPD is a faction that from new 'Rookie' players right up to 'Captain', we all want to do well. We wish upon it success in it's roleplay elements, be they loss or win In Character. We currently have a very strong and concise group coming together of dedicated roleplayers, most of you whom I have roleplayed directly with as HPD and others, on even other sims beforehand. Some players are re-emerging from past times for another fine shot at roleplayed justice, others are proven by time and consistancy to be able to fight the roleplay through, even when it's become unbearable. But regardless, whether or not you play a corrupt brutal cop or a straight edged avatar of justice, we all need to be inspired to play, which is what this is about, now. I expect good/bad feedback from -everyone- that looks at this topic, if possible regardless of rank or playtime.

Now, what I'm about to prompt here has already been said before here, by Kyben, Jake and Cheng, as well as numerous other officers. There's been topics and posts based on these already that have unfortunately been buried or distracted from the original point in the past.

Police Events.

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1906

It was suggested in the past [as above] by other experienced members of the HPD that the Force would benefit from their own 'events'. Such things included making use of the Precinctm for classes such as, I quote Sarrah:-

1) Guns - How to properly use a side arm in PD role play.

2) Expectations - What the dept. looks for in its' officers.

3) Rules - Guidelines for all to abide my

4) Introductions - Get to know everyone and who is in charge

5) Events - Discuss any planned events, patrols, wanted criminals, warrants, etc.....

6) Opinions - A time for " positive " and " constructive " opinions about the HPD

-AND MANY MORE, including use of weapons, driver training and whatnot-

-

Now, alongside the desire to actually heavily enforce opportunities for these roleplays to happen maybe once a week or as often as consistant officers could manage, I believe it's an absolutely integral source of strong roleplay and team building within the force itself, both IC and OOC.

Building on the idea, we currently have roles that could be created within the HPD, as we do have IRL in Police stations. Such roles might including fitness, Unarmed trainer and whatnot. Such training also allows the higher ranks to see what officers are actually attending the training, what skills they have to offer and .. well it gets deeper. You guys get the picture. Like I said, this has all been said before, yet nothing has come of it. I'd personally like to see officers that wish to train, in particular Kyben and so forth in mind, when they do have time, to hold events.

Let's do this properly, with votes. Fresh thoughts on the matter, everyone, if you will? Don't forget to vote. 😉
